As an attraction I was sadly disappointed with Carnglaze Cavern.
We paid £6 each entry, were given a dog eared laminated "map", a hard hat each and a wind up torch that hardly shed any light.
Inside the caves the lighting is poor and you can't read the information points or look at the exhibits, of which there are very few anyway.
The pool where the weddings take place has a couple of lights (that you turn on and off yourself) that don't show the cavern off to its best potential.
All in all we spent about 20 minutes in the cavern.
We noticed that they hold weddings and music events in the caverns and this is probably the only way we would go back...think as a concert venue it would be great, if we wrap up warm.
We ventured around the woodland walk after the cavern. The fairies in the enchanted glen have seen better days with some missing arms and feet.
As we continued the walk it was clear that maintenance of the route was not up to scratch.
All in all the caves and the walk just need some TLC and some time and effort spent on them.

Love this place and I can see why people hold concerts or choose to get married here. It gave a real sense of what it must have been like to mine slate. Impressive. The owners are friendly and the gift shops full of good stuff. Great outing for when the weather's a bit dodgy. Hard hats supplied.

A little below expectations but I cannot say anything bad about this place. A small cave space, a bit of a difference for someone who did not visit caves before. Our toddler seemed to be scared at times-I would not recommend to take a young children. Overall ok.

Quite interesting but an expensive experience. We have subsequently been back for a concert that cost less to get in than our earlier look around.
