We had a quick lunch here on a Sunday. We were quite late but no problem, food was on offer. They were doing a roaring trade on roasts which looked good for £10.95 but we were only after a sandwich. We had crab which was lovely and very fresh. It's a great old traditional pub (500 years old) with a friendly landlady and bar staff. Dogs seemed very welcomed - ours was given a biscuit and whilst not everyone will like dogs and food together, for walkers it's good to know. Bustling, busy and a nice atmosphere, make this place well worth stopping for (just turn off opposite RNAS Culdrose).

It had been a while since we ate at the Halzephron, but we went with friends after checking out the menu a few days earlier. Between us we had the lobster, which tasted as good as it looked, the duck, the steak and ale pie and the fish and chips. Everybody enjoyed their meals and agreed that we would come back soon. The service was excellent as was the atmosphere in the small dining room.

After a visit to the local cove we went to Halzephron Inn following a recommendation of the quality of the food and ingredients. We were not disappointed. I had the steak and ale pie, delicious meat in a deep rich gravy with an equally delicious light short crust lid. My friend had Chicken with cashews in a cream mustard sauce and peppers, this was divine. We didn't have time for dessert so will be going back again tomorrow.

I love the Halzephron and the food is great. True it is a bit of a drive from Mullion but if you have been to Church Cove Gunwalloe its on the way back. Thoroughly recommendable.

Only called in here for a mid morning coffee whilst walking the SWCP. It needs a small diversion away from the path of about 200 yards at Gunwalloe, but well worth the effort. Traditional old pub with dining areas. We were well met by the proprietor who served us promptly with some fresh coffee and engaged us in conversation. Loved to have stopped and tried his appealing menu for lunch/dinner.
