I booked this lovely B&B partly on the basis of the previous Trip Adviser review on also on visiting their website. I echo everthing the previous reviewer wrote.

Gill and John made us feel very welcome. We were two couples and booked both rooms. Both bedrooms are delightful so there was no worry as to who got the best room! The beds are really comfortable - so important. It was great to have a sitting room too. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and furnished to a high standard and all tastefully decorated with nice touches like the vase of fresh wild flowers. Gill provides soap and tissues but no other toiletries in the bathrooms - we didn't mind this as we always take our own anyway. Much more important, the bedlinen and towels are all good quality and nice comfy pillows.

The private sitting room is comfortable and tastefully decorated; there are magazines and books and a CD/radio as well as TVs in both bedrooms. Although it was May it was quite chilly in the evening and it was nice that the heating came on automatically everywhere without us having to ask for it.

We all agreed that breakfast was one of the best we had eaten, cereals, fruit juice, fruit, warm rolls and croissants, full English with proper mushrooms, not the horrible tinned ones you get so often, toast and delicious homemade marmalade and as much tea as you could drink.

In short, this is a great place to stay - we wished we could have stayed longer, and a great place from which to go walking around the Lizard area or visit some of the lovely gardens. It's also easy to get to the Helford River. Great value for money too.

I highly recommend Merther Uny Farm near Helston. B&B's don't get much better than this! Gill made us feel very welcome as soon as we arrived. First impressions are so important and with fresh flowers on the table and spotlessly clean, the beautiful farmhouse set in 8 acres of peaceful countryside immediately won us over!

We spent two nights at Merther Uny Farm (wish we could have stayed longer) and booked out both double rooms. I can't stress enough how lovely the rooms were. We felt so lucky that we'd found this little gem! The photo's on their website don't do it justice!

The rooms were so tastefully decorated, with quality heavy fabrics - like something straight out of 'Country Living' magazine! Both rooms had lovely comfortable beds, quality furniture, beautiful en-suite bathroom, T.V, alarm clock, tea making facilities with luxury biscuits.

You were also given a key to the farmhouse, so you could come and go as you pleased. The B&B itself is a complete self contained cottage (comprising of two double rooms and a living/dining area) which is attached to the main farmhouse, so it feels completely private. There is also a separate annex, which is self catering for a further two persons.

And it gets better...the breakfast was huge! You could have fresh strawberries with grapefruit, yoghurts, cereals, freshly baked crossiants, danish pasteries, full english breakfast, toast, jams, fresh pot of tea contstantly topped up!

It's exactly as a B&B should be and for £25p.p.p.p (peak) we thought it was fantastic value. Cornwall can be extremely pricey and you tend to not get alot for your money either, but I can honestly say that you won't be disappointed at Merther Uny Farm.

We had a short but wonderful stay and without doubt will be returning next summer.
