We have a meal at The New Inn, Wendron about once a week. There is always a warm welcome from Nigel, the landlord, in the cosy, well stocked bar, which has a fine choice of real ales, and wines. I can specially reccommend the Australian McGuiggan Reserve. Whether you eat in the bar or in the well furnished restaurant, the food is delicious, with generous portions at reasonable prices, and there is a varied menu to suit all tastes. The service is friendly and efficient but unobtrusive. You can take as long as you like without the feeling of being hurried, and if you want a variation from what's stated on the menu, the staff will do their best to cater for your needs. If you have children, or if you've never grown up, there's a good selection of games in the bar, which can be played at no charge. All in all, a very pleasant evening out, we always come away well fed, well watered and totally relaxed Well done Nigel and Angela and all the staff!

We were a bit peckish it was just gone 1230pm, as we came around the corner in Wendron we saw the pub right on the corner with a small car park just up the road. On entering a very quaint little pub bar which was decorated on the ceiling with dangling Easter eggs novel I thought, the owner and barman I think he was called Simon was very welcoming we were asked what we wanted to drink and given menu's we were told we could eat in the bar area or go into the dining room which looked very nice we stayed in the bar it had a nice fire burning and it was cosy and warm. The food was prepared fresh so we had a enjoyable chat and drink while it was prepared, we both just ordered bar snack as we were having our evening meal on rtn to home. My wife had the home cooked ham jacket potato with salad and I had a beef and horseradish sandwich with side salad the beef was still warm it was delicious we both enjoyed it very much, a friendly pub with a welcome, if you are in the area give it a try the cost for a glass of lemonade and diet coke and the two meals was just over £13.

Went to this pub for the first time recently after friends recommended it. It had a lovely atmosphere with a good selection of ales, cider etc. Pub is cosy with a lovely log burner and it has a nice resturant area. Food was fab - decent portions, tasty and a reasonable price. Staff were friendly. Will definatley be going again :)
