“Great place to view aircrafts FREE”

RNAS Culdrose Airfield Viewing Area
Reviewed September 5, 2013

The public viewing enclosure provides kids of ALL ages the opportunity to see a variety of aircraft land and take off - fills a gap in the day!

Great viewing area with wide views of naval airbase, patience required for spotting action! Good facilities, cafe, toilets and free parking

A great place to have a snack and watch the helicopters. Great for kids to see merlin and sea king helicopters taking off and landing. They also have hawk jets. The cafe is reasonable and staff are very friendly. Cannot fault the food either. You can also go on a tour of the base which we did a couple of years ago. The tour currently cost £30 for a family of four.

The food was very good value lots of it, tea and coffee was very nice, tour was good but be warned they do take you to the fire station on site and look around it and on the day depends on what is flying, but shop was good with lots to buy, good day out.
