Owner description: Roskilly’s are based at Tregellast Barton Farm on the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall. We are a family run business milking 125 Jersey cows. Our small pastures have been farmed in a traditional and sustainable way for generations, and we have always farmed without the use of pesticides and artificial fertilizers. All of our delicious ice creams and hand crafted fudges are made using rich organic Jersey milk and cream from our own herd of Jersey cows. We also produce a range of jams and chutneys using old family recipes that have been handed down the generations. Our Farm and Café, the Croust House, is open all year round serving meals every day from breakfast, fresh salads to clay oven baked pizzas’ and American style smoked meats (summer months only). You can visit and feed all the farm animals: calves, pigs, goats, chickens, turkeys, geese & ducks. You can also go for a stroll around the ponds and withy woods and watch the milking at 4.30pm

“lovely - mothers day lunch!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 14, 2013

i haven't been roskilly's for a long time, but my family had decided to go for a mothers day lunch, fab, will be lovely to go back...and it was lovely! just as i remembered! we arrived at about 12.30, it was very busy, we had to wait a while for a table, infact, we sat at 2 small tables until we could push two table together, the staff were so sweet and more than happy for our tables to be pushed together when ther was room, the staff were so helpful and had a real careing quality, making sure we all had enough room and that were happy. we went to the counter to place our big order, it took some time trying to remember what everyone wanted, but the lady at the counter, was so relaxed and didnt rush us, she kindly had to go over our order a few times before we got it right, i would have lost the plot by then, but she was so polite and chilled about our epic order. the food was lovely, i had pork with apple sauce and the others had beef, all came with a dish of veg on the side, beautiful, rustic and yum! a lovely afternoon, nice gift shop, fantastic ice cream as always, fab to see roskillys has still got its charm, we will be back. ( its seems that you can not book a table, so i would get in as early as you can) .

“Ice ice baby”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 5, 2013

We visited Roskilly's last week during a week's holiday in Cornwall. Our primary reason for the visit was obviously the ice cream. First we had a wander round the farm and saw the cows, goats and pigs. Being the winter season and mid week the gift shop wasn't open but there were food items for sale in the restaurant shop. We had a drink and bacon sandwich which were perfectly satisfactory. We then had a tub of ice cream each. Again as we were visiting in the low season the choice of ice creams was about half of what it is in the summer but there were still about 8 varieties to choose from - we went for the new Cornish Cream Tea flavour which was delicious. If we are in Cornwall in the summer we will try and make a return visit to see what else is on offer though I suspect it will be a bit busier than when we visited. Recommended.

“Best ice cream ever”

Family run farm with restaurant and its own ice cream. Lovely food and the ice cream is peerless. Really nice atmosphere and on cold days sitting by the fire and eating a good meal is heavenly!

“great any time of year”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 11, 2012

I love going here in summer you can sit in the courtyard and share it with the birds or at night go to the barbeque with entertainment or in winter sit inside with the roaring log fire always a good choice of food although a little expensive
