Owner description: Roskilly’s are based at Tregellast Barton Farm on the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall. We are a family run business milking 125 Jersey cows. Our small pastures have been farmed in a traditional and sustainable way for generations, and we have always farmed without the use of pesticides and artificial fertilizers. All of our delicious ice creams and hand crafted fudges are made using rich organic Jersey milk and cream from our own herd of Jersey cows. We also produce a range of jams and chutneys using old family recipes that have been handed down the generations. Our Farm and Café, the Croust House, is open all year round serving meals every day from breakfast, fresh salads to clay oven baked pizzas’ and American style smoked meats (summer months only). You can visit and feed all the farm animals: calves, pigs, goats, chickens, turkeys, geese & ducks. You can also go for a stroll around the ponds and withy woods and watch the milking at 4.30pm

“great any time of year”
Reviewed October 11, 2012

I love going here in summer you can sit in the courtyard and share it with the birds or at night go to the barbeque with entertainment or in winter sit inside with the roaring log fire always a good choice of food although a little expensive

“Brilliant ice cream!”
Reviewed October 6, 2012 via mobile

Went for a few hours and had a lovely lunch followed by a walk then an ice cream. Staff were helpful and friendly. Dogs welcome on leads and there are enough things to do and learn about for a few hours. Not suitable for a whole day out though. Lovely picnic areas. It's out in the sticks but worth a visit!!

“Gluten free cakes”
Reviewed September 28, 2012

We want to warn people who eat gluten free cakes that the ones at Roskillys are a total rip off! They are not on display as they are frozen! We ordered two coffee cup cakes. The ordinary ones looked amazing so we thought the gluten free ones would be a treat. When they arrived they could only be described as small buns. They were not even iced. At £2.05 each they were a total rip off.

We are so disappointed that Roskillys have not responded to our emails expressing our disappointment. We have been going to the restaurant for many years now and have always enjoyed the food. Needless to say we will not be going again which saddens me. It is the lack of response to my complaints that has upset me more than the buns themselves.

“Best ice creams in Cornwall”
Reviewed September 18, 2012

Lovely place well out in the sticks. So much to see and so many cows to look at. Beautiful ice creams but sadly they are quite pricey for what you get, the old big tub with the bottom half way up so looks more than you actually have ! Crafty me ansums
