Torbay Manor is something like the holiday park in Dirty Dancing. A little dated but reasonable budget accommodation. Be aware that linen and towels are NOT included.
We stayed at the house using it as a base for a wedding. The house was very clean the kitchen was well equipped and the beds were comfortable. There was a little smell of damp but it went when we turned on the heater. Although the rooms were quite small they were well laid out with good hanging space for clothes and we found the beds comfy and the duvets really nice
The site is sweet it's not hi tech but it's got a lovely park and big bar. We didn't eat so can't tell you about food.
For the price we paid the site was extremely good value
When we arrived at the property there was a nasty smell and the windows were wide open so I presume the cleaner had been aware of it. I was not particularly impressed with the level of cleanliness - there were hairs, dust and cobwebs all over the place. The house itself had plenty of room but was situated in quite a dark corner of the estate and there was nowhere I felt I could hang out wet clothes. In the room with the bunk beds there was a stain on the mattress. Apparently there was wifi in the property but neither my daughter nor I were able to access it (after following the relevant instructions). There were a family of seagulls nesting on the roof opposite and they were extremely fearless - I have a bird phobia so this was not good! The owner has put signs up asking for the seagulls not to be fed but the people who were in another house to the left were feeding them (tins of sardines). I had been told that the accommodation would be basic by friends who had been to Tolroy Manor before so I was not expecting anything outstanding but I do expect a basic level of cleanliness and I'm afraid the layout of the properties was a bit squashed, it felt like everyone was on top of each other. We were very lucky with the weather so were out and about most of the time but if it had been raining and we had to spend more time at the property it would have been a very depressing holiday. The swimming pool was small but adequate but the lifeguard was more interested in her phone than watching people in the pool. The whole site just seems a bit dated and in need of some TLC. I won't be returning.
