We stayed with linda & gary just last week, we have stayed there a few times before and each time they make you feel like your family coming home for a visit. You can tell after a few hours of being in there company that they love what they do. Cannot fault the place, great breakfast, rooms, area and of course in hayle itself they have the lovely ice cream shop and three or four pasty shops as well. (no good for people watching there weight). Thanks for looking after us, well worth the trip down from somerset.

Thanks to Lyn and Gary for a lovely week again at Wilcuma Cottage B/B. Always a warm welcome. Clean rooms and good breakfast. Nothing is to much trouble for them. Would recommend anyone to pay them a visit.

We had a nice welcome from the owner Lynda, who is a warm person. This house is on a fairly quiet road near Hayle.

Staying at Wilcuma Cottage.

The pros:

The room was spacious.
The mattress is VERY SOFT, but not uncomfortable.
We had a nice breakfast, which was cooked to order.

The cons:
The TV in the room is small.
The major off putting thing in this house, if you are in the downstairs bedroom; is that you hear noise from upstairs occupants as they move around and talk.

The only other point which I think needs attention is that in the shower cubicle, there is nowhere to hang face clothes and other toiletries.

Cost per night - £ 70.00

I stayed in Wilcuma during the summer of 2017. It was ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!!
There is so much to enthuse about that this review could go on for pages and pages - and not a word of it would be the slightest exaggeration. So, I'll try to be brief and stick to the most salient things.
Wilcuma is in a great location. Very close to Hayle town, shops, restaurants, pubs, the BEACH, etc. At the same time, it's in a very quiet and private place. (A secret, frankly.)
Breakfast is tasty and hearty - the definition of a FULL ENGLISH!
The rooms are IMMACULATE. Ultra-clean, all requirements catered for, and the showers are perfect - brilliant pressure, hot, clean, and refreshing.
And I'm saving the best till last - Gary & Lynda. Finer, warmer, more hospitable, friendly, discreet, unassuming, helpful B&B owners you will NOT find. These two are very modest but there's nothing that they can't solve or sort out for their guests, no matter who you are or where you are from, and as long as it's within reason.
What else do I need to say? Oh, yes, Wilcuma doesn't really feel like a B&B - it's more like home; in fact, it's the Home you always dreamed about.
Truly, I can say, with no fear of contradiction, that WILCUMA is THE BEST B&B in the UK!!!
