We enjoyed our stay last year, called Margaret to see if we could stay again. As always nothing is too much trouble. All the staff are marvellous, the food is lovely, great service, lodges are a pleasure. I'm sure we will be back again

Due to breaking my foot whilst camping , I had to find a hotel for the night , The Old Quay House was just perfect. I stayed in one of their lodges overlooking the Estuary , the staff where so helpful and nothing was too much trouble . Would definitely recommend this place .

We stayed in lodge six with terrace overlooking the estuary, very private with good outside furniture for our sole use. The room was a good size with comfortable extra large bed, soft pillows and coffee machine as well as kettle. However the bathroom was tired and towels very small, considering this room was an expensive nightly rate I would have expected a separate shower and bath. The room was clean but not ultra modern. Breakfast in the conservatory of the pub was ok but no decaffeinated coffee available, good job we had a machine in the room.

This is our fourth visit and we were very disappointed. Room was not hoovered on arrival nor during our stay. As a resident normally we ate in the restaurant but this time only the bar area available with very loud talking between 16 men at bar and not being able to hear ourselves think.
Breakfast you had to pay more for chocolate. Wi-fi did not work in our room “Kingfisher” and very poorly in bar area.
This place is not a hotel but at £160 per night for B+B the standards have slipped and they need to provide a better service. Even though we paid everything up front we left a day earlier as we were disappointed. TV only offers normal channels and in this day and age more is required.

A very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We found the staff very polite, helpful and efficient. The Sunday Roast was superb, inc the vegetarian option which my wife had, and good value too. We also visited another 3 times in the evenings during our weeks holiday, which speaks for itself. We found the evening meals very enjoyable, with my wife who is vegetarian, especially enjoying the ratatouille. The three of us all had different meals during our visits, which were absolutely lovely. It was a bonus having such friendly and efficient staff. This was our third year in a row we holidayed in the area, and cannot wait to visit The Old Quay House again next year.
