We've been coming to hayle for nearly 20 years and never been in this resturant before, oh boy what a shame......it fantastic. Its got a lovely feel about it inside and the food was just devine. We went in for a late lunch, I had the chicken sandwich, my husband had the burger on the specials board and they were both fantastic, well cooked with quality ingredients and beautifully thought through and constructed. Contrary to other reviews on here, we felt the price was spot on for the quality of food!

We went to Salt for a Sunday lunch, though wishing to steer away from a roast. The service was pretty good, there were only two on and it was quite busy, though the wait for the food wasn't too bad. the fish special was excellent, the fish cooked perfectly and the meat dish as well prepared. For good, freshly cooked food that wont break the bank this is a good place to go.

Atmosphere/interior is very cosy and gastropub-esque. The drinks and cocktails on offer are plentiful but unfortunately the food doesn't live up to expectation. I had a burger on their Friday Steak Night - unfortunately it was quite flavourless and far from worth the £10 price tag. I will continue to go for drinks but not the food...
