Just come home from a FANTASTIC holiday in this chalet @ Tom's Holidays. This chalet was perfect for us, the styling is just glorious! Its really quirky with a gorgeous mix of vintage & modern, the little touches really make it special. The kind of place that you keep discovering new things! There's a fab mix of books, films & games its warm & cosy & very well equipped so makes self catering here nothing short of a joy. We had a problem with the shower & Toms efficiently & pleasantly took care of it, so many thanks for that. The area is perfect for families, a few minutes from a stunning beach, 20 mins from the pretty St Ives, a great base for families to explore the surrounding region. The Seal Sanctuary, Heartlands, Teihidy Woods & Truro were on our list this time. We cannot wait to come back for seconds! I can picture lots of holidays here. Worth every second of a 6 hour drive & great value for money. Thank you Toms & Marjeni E34!! xxx

Thank you for your review. We were pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay in E34. Certainly we have a whole variety of properties, hopefully to suit all tastes. As you say, the area is great for families with plenty of space on site to unwind, a superb beach within a few minute’s walk and so many interesting places only a short drive away. We are sorry you had a problem with the shower, but glad to hear that it was sorted efficiently and pleasantly. We hope to welcome you back to Toms again soon.

This was my first visit to Cornwall since I was really little and me and my boyfriend were looking for somewhere dog friendly and not too expensive. Came across the toms website by chance and entered our availability dates and expressed dog friendly. A few chalets came up and we decided on g18 gestyn. This chalet is towards the back of the site furthest away from the beach which was fine for us as we have no health issues and it overlooked hayle but was quite private, whereas some of the others are quite closely built together.
From the offset the toms staff were very helpful, we didn't get there until 6pm and they were really accommodating saying they could leave the keys elsewhere if needed - which we didn't end up needing but the option was there.
The only downside if I was really picky would be that to get to this chalet you turn off the road
, over the grass, up a slope, then down the other side, then up again! With dips and holes all over the grass!! You need a 4x4 really which we didn't have! Plus it had been raining heavily so was really muddy so we very nearly got stuck! However after this first blunder when we first got there we just parked at the end of the grass way a little way away which was fine, a bit of a warning before we got there would have been a bit better though as my other half is very precious about his car!! And nearly getting stuck and ripping the bumper off didn't go down very well!! Haha!
The chalet was lovely, we have a big dog and he loved it was plenty big enough! He loved looking out the big windows!
Everything was clean especially the bathroom which I'm usually funny about.
This chalet has the COMFIEST bed, pillows and duvet ever!! We were wondering if we could get them on top of the car to bring them back home!!
Amazed at how little you can hear the wind and rain outside they are so well built!
Amazing location beach was a 5-10 minute walk.
Toms staff let us check out late, we checked out later than we had agreed also but they were absolutely fine.
We are definitely coming back at least twice next year, maybe will try for a sea view chalet but would be more than happy to return to this one!
Such value for money, loved it.

We have had another fab holiday - stayed in F13 Trefusis, and as before this is a lovely holiday bungalow. The site as a whole is well looked after, we spotted the grounds man (I'm sure he has other duties as well) carrying out his morning duty with his 'litter picker'. F13 is situated in a quieter part of the site, dogs are welcome and you even get your own private viewing to a rabbit warren at the back of the property :) Looking forward to next year already.

I've been reading some of the reviews about Toms Holidays. All I can say to anyone who has a problem, report it straight away, do not let it spoil your holiday. We had a faulty/noisy fridge/freezer last year, reported it to the office and they replaced it within hours. Cannot ask for better service than that.

Also we would like to particularly thank you for your comments about our service. Whilst we would prefer that there are never any problems and do our best to make these as few as possible, unfortunately there will always be the odd problem cropping up. It is how we deal with problems that is so important. We stress to all our staff that any issues must be dealt with as quickly and efficiently as possible, in order to minimise the inconvenience to our customers. To help us, we also have a team of local trades people who are always ready to attend whenever necessary. Most importantly we would like to stress to our customers, please do not hesitate to tell us about a problem. Once again, thank you for your kind comments and we look forward to welcoming you to Toms soon.

I don't know where to start, had the most amazing holiday at Elova F71 on Toms Holiday Park, the chalet is very cute from the outside and even cuter inside! I always worry about accommodation not meeting my cleaning standards, but I think this beat them!! It was spotless and smelt fresh and clean. All the bedding was bright and modern and it had been decorated to give it a shabby chic beach house feel. The kitchen was extremely well equipped, not that I partook in much cooking, but there was plenty of equipment should you need it and everything was modern and clean. An added bonus was the freezer, if only for the ice for the vodkas!!! It is set in a fantastic location with a wonderful seaview and the beach just a short walk away, its location is really second to none and I shall be returning as soon as I can!

We have just got back from toms after spending 2 weeks on their site. We have been staying at toms since 2007 and we have never had any faults, of which to complain about anyway, but this time I really think I should " air my view "
We spent our first week in B37 Ebbtide, and as always, absolutely brilliant, sparkly clean, smelt fresh, and you can tell the proud owners really look after their property, clean it extremely well after each family leaves, and have total respect. Cannot fault this property at all.
After spending a wonderful week in this property, we moved to B04 Beach croft, and I cannot describe in enough words how " Discusted " I was from the minute I walked into this property.
first walked in, it stunk of urine, my first impression was " it smelt like public toilets "
When I walked into the kitchen area, there was crumbs and grass over the kitchen floor. Obviously not been cleaned by a professional cleaner, the pillows on the sofas I swear had never been changed, your hands felt greasy just by touching them. When I walked into the lounge there were hand prints over the windows, and on the bedroom window there was kiss marks, have these windows not been cleaned ? the stink of mould in this property was terrible, gave us all sore throats, my son could not even have a good night sleep in the bottom bunk as the mould kept him awake, so he was sleeping on the sofa for some parts of the evenings, it clearly had not been cleaned for some time, there was coffee stains and cup marks on the units thick cobwebs at the side of the bed, there was a dodgy plug socket in one of the double bedrooms, that you could only turn to the off position once you had removed the electrical item from the socket = Dangerous , the freezer door was broken so things did not freeze well and all the freezing temperature was escaping into the fridge making everything too hard, the cooker was stained with yellow food real bad, that look terrible. Also there's a large black area of mould under the lounge window near the TV unit, the heater in the lounge was thick of black dirt and dust, the egg spatula had egg all stuck on it, ( you would not even want to use it ) I would also like to add that the sign on the bin was out of date, asking people to take rubbish out on a tuesday evening, and its been a wednesday evening all the years i've been staying with toms.
eating in in this property is not an option, cutlery stunk of mould, was ancient, and dirty.
I am not a moaner, and I don't like doing this review, but I don't want another family feeling the same way as us from booking this property with nothing done about the condition we had it in.
On the morning we had to move into this property, we was told at 9.30am it was ready, which was wonderful, but the thing that really annoys me, is my children was up playing outside this bungalow and my son see the old family leave, it took my son at least 5 minutes to get from that property to me to tell me, and as he went to tell me, I was being informed by a toms worker that B04 was ready. I understood that after each family leaves a property, it is cleaned by a professional cleaner, and then checked by a superviser ? how can this property be clean ? it was filthy and there was no time for it to be cleaned? i've seen some of the cleaners on the toms sites go into properties and they have gone in, looked around and come straight back out, and its then hired out to another family just as the old people who hired it before had left it.
I took a few photos of a few things which I will try and add here,
I don't like to moan, but I feel out of all the money you charge for these properties, at least 45 minutes of cleaning of each property and a little smell of freshness and cleanness is not much to ask. I hope this will be looked into, so other families can enjoy there holiday in B04,
we have already booked up and we will be back in 2014, but will never stay in this property again.

Thank you for your review. We were glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay in Ebbtide and will be returning next year but were extremely sorry to hear of the problems you experienced in Beachcroft.
We are concerned that this is the first we have heard of these problems. We would have been happy to deal with any issues immediately, had we known about them thus giving you a more enjoyable stay. We would like to have the chance of dealing with any issues as soon possible and would have sent a cleaner to rectify any problems.
Quite rightly you mentioned that we have a two tier cleaning system and apart from cleaners and supervisors, various other staff would visit the property before the visitors are allowed the keys.
On this occasion the property was vacated on the previous Friday afternoon and cleaned on the Friday. Whoever your son saw, was not the family nor the cleaner but probably someone delivering fresh bedding or carrying out fire checks. Although it is not required, we try to check all fire safety equipment in every property between each let. You mentioned “i've seen some of the cleaners on the toms sites go into properties and they have gone in, looked around and come straight back out.” It would be impossible to tell the difference between the cleaners and supervisors. They look the same and all carry buckets. Our cleaners spend 1hour 20 minutes in each property and this time is monitored.
We are extremely concerned that you found the property not to meet with your expectations and that it had not been prepared properly for your arrival. There is no excuse for it not being cleaned properly. We have a cleaning system to achieve good standards of cleanliness. Unfortunately it seems we did not achieve that standard in this case and for that we apologise.
All properties rented by Toms should be covered by a periodic electrical safety certificate and the electrician has checked the socket you mentioned.
Although it may look as if it was dried food, the marks on the cooker were in fact pin prick rust marks, which frequently appear on the outside of fridges and cookers, as a result of our proximity to the sea.
The cup mark was made by a previous visitor by placing a hot drink on unprotected wood. Apart from removing the table completely, there was little we could have done in the time given.
There should be no sign of mould in the property. If it was there on your arrival we apologise. We would like to remind all customers that with several people showering or bathing mixed with constant warm weather, mould will appear if the properties are not well ventilated. Many customers feel it is necessary to keep windows closed. However the opposite is necessary to rid the property of the damp warm air and prevent condensation from showers and baths.
Unfortunately due to your son reporting that the previous family had just moved out, you would have entered the property expecting to find it not prepared properly, which is not a good start. We would normally advise customers not to move to a property in a lower band for a second week of their holiday. Guests can be disappointed after staying in one of our best properties, as in your case and then moving to a midrange property. Our staff in the office are happy to give further information about properties to enable guests to judge which property may suit them. Obviously all properties, whatever standard of fitting, should be clean on customer’s arrival. To find a property which was not prepared properly is an unacceptable inconvenience at the beginning of your holiday.
We place great importance on good customer service. We would like to stress that all complaints are taken seriously and although it is not what we want to hear, we thank you for letting us know of the problems. Reported issues and problems are discussed in office meetings and possible actions planned to avoid problems reoccurring. We have spoken with the cleaner and supervisor concerned.
We were pleased to hear that you found the service to be of a high standard and that you will be returning. We look forward to welcoming you to Riviere Towans next year.

WOW the views here are fantastic the beach clean and well watched with life guards, plenty of little pools when sea is well out for small children. I have been coming to Toms on and off for the last 49years as a child now as a Grandma. Stayed in F55 clean and tidy even if slopping towards the back abit, hopefully not to much of an issue in time! We have stayed in many chalets all with brilliant sea views as that's what we like to look out at of an evening. The pub up the road "Bucket of Blood" does lovely food but you are wise to book. Cannot praise this site higher than anything even if it did take us 10 hours to get home to Ipswich as M25 was a nightmare! But never mind all worth it. See you again soon.

We stayed in D60 - Lazy Days and it was perfect for us! Every room was very clean and very well presented and it had every thing we needed for our Cornish summer holiday! The décor was modern, the kitchen well equipped and stylish and the bedrooms were good sizes with comfy beds and an abundance of pillows and quilts to more than satisfy our needs. The setting is one of a kind, well situated for trips into St Ives, Penzance, Mousehole, St Michaels Mount, Lands End, to name a few, with a beach less than a stones throw away boasting stunning views! The play areas dotted around the site are great and just enough for the children to blow off the last bit of steam they have left in them before bed! Easily the best part of our holiday was walking along the beach after tea, collecting seashells, rolling down the sand dunes and watching the sun go down....complete and utter heaven! Needless to say, we didn't want to come home and are already planning on returning next summer with more of the family in tow....and we cant wait!

The staff at Toms were helpful, kind, friendly and more than accommodating - a pleasant experience all round!

Thank you for your kind review. We are so pleased to hear you share the enthusiasm for the area as we do here at Toms. Apart from being close to many of the attractions of West Cornwall, the site itself with the beach and dunes offer the perfect place to relax and watch the sun set over St. Ives. We were pleased to hear you felt the property was all you needed. We all work hard to give our customers a happy holiday and it is great to receive such feedback. We will share your kind comments with all the staff and look forward to welcoming you back to Toms Holidays next year.
