“Great beach, great memories”
Reviewed October 10, 2013

A beautiful beach backed by impressive dunes and sheltered between two headlands. The gently sloping shore ensures that when the tide is out the beach is expansive and very safe.

Lifeguards were on duty at all reasonable hours and it is a very dog friendly beach all year round.

Great for families, dog lovers and surfers. We came here to relive family holidays of 40 years ago - still an unforgettable place to visit.

“One of the best if not the best in Cornwall”
Reviewed October 9, 2013 via mobile

What a great spot, Atlantic rollers, plenty of clean soft sand, sparkling water, great views up the Gannel and sand dunes and rock pools for the kids and dog friendly. Great campsites (Teago Farm, Higher Moor, Crantock Beach, Trevella just minutes away, national trust land, great pub The Bowgie with amazing views on top of the headland. The lovely village of Crantock with two more pubs, tearoom, village shop and thatched cottages. I could go on..... Thoroughly recommended.

“Heaven !”
Reviewed September 25, 2013 via mobile

What a gem ! Drove from Newquay but you can walk if the tide is out !! Car park is National Trust so there is a fee but this is for whole day .. you can leave and come back as long as you keep the ticket which is really good .
Big sand dunes and gorgeous beach perfect for a chilled day . There are rock steps up to a lovely pub 'The Bowgie' and access to cliff walks so a mix of everything for everyone !!

“Great Beach”
Reviewed September 25, 2013

Fabulous beach accessible up and over a sand dune. We didn't park in the National Trust Car park and were in a steep field next to it that was a little cheaper to park in. We loved the beach, with it's river running into the sea and there were plenty of pools of water and rock pools to occupy the kids when we weren't down in the surf. It was good to have toilet facilities on the beach but they weren't the best and not very clean but all the same at least there were some! This beach is great for ball games and making sandcastles with the kids and on a busy summer day in the school holidays it didn't feel too crowded. It also discovered it had great mobile signal (as our Caravan Park further up the coast didn't have any!)
