we were invited to hilltop by john who we have stayed with for many years now and wow! what a great afternoon we had. The high tea is to die for, beautiful fresh sandwiches with whatever fillings you choose and gorgeous fresh bread and don't get me started on the scones, best i have ever had, fresh and light with a great crusty top, clotted cream and the jam is amazing, hope they sell it in the shop as next time we are down, we would love to buy some, sat outside chatting and having a great time we forgot to ask!!!!! The other cakes are just as lovely, we felt really spoilt and will definately go again and would recommend all who holiday in this area to visit, you will not be dissapointed.Thankyou for a wonderful afternoon, hope to see you again soon.

Found this gem when hunting for a Sunday lunch. Pleasant enough looking place with obvious recent investment to expand. But we certainly weren't expecting a meal of the superb quality we were given. Beautiful beef, roast potatoes, Yorkshire puss and heaps of fresh veg plus a jug of gravy each to add to our own taste. Wonderful!

We had a super lunch here last year whilst on holiday, this year on our last day while travelling back from Camelford I pulled off the road and found this hidden gem again. Such a shame we didn't find it sooner, what a fabulous place, fresh food, such a variety and very good prices. The new extension is lovely and quirky with beautiful vintage painted chairs and beautiful print patch cushions. We had a lovely lunch and bought a few things in the shop, surprised to see some things that are often hard to source. This year as it was cooler so we sat inside but could still see the lovely view. I wished we lived closer as we would visit more regular. I will make sure to visit more often when we come back to cornwall.

Lovely place to sample Cornish Tea and pick up some locally sourced produce. The Salmon I sampled was delicious.
