My husband and I booked a two night stay at the Pendragon Country House following a narrow escape from booking the Camelot Castle (!!) and after reading the wonderful reviews on here.....we were not disappointed! The location is great and gives excellent access to both sides of Cornwall and the house is superb. Our room was beautiful with a large four poster and roll top bath. The attention to detail is absolutely amazing, from the warm reception you receive when you arrive (along with the tea and scrummy homemade biscuits) til the moment you leave.
We did a lot of exploring during our weekend and it was also our wedding anniversay so we had booked supper both nights.....Wow.....Nigel is an absolutely fantastic chef and both nights the food was amazing. On our anniversary we had the slow cooked belly of pork which was to die for. Sharon's homemade chutney was a winner with both of us and am hoping to get the recipe.
This truly is a wonderful place to stay and we couldn't recommend it enough, we met a lovely couple from Devon and will definately be returning next year to continue our Cornish adventure!More
