Five of us stopped for lunch on our way to Godolphin House. The menu was varied and the food good. the only thing I could complain about really was the fact that it was a cold, wet, autumnal day and the fire was not coping. The doors were left open and although one member of te party complained about the lack of warmth the landlord did not do anything about it. I would go back for one of their steak and wine meals, they sound lovely.
