Back to my alltime favourite stay for my birthday with 6 friends, The room was `de luxe` as always but eminently comfortable. The evening dinner I so enjoyed was Moules River Exe, freshwater mussels in garlic,w/wine & onion sauce as an entre, then served local Duck in Port & Stilton as a Main with a myriad of superbly-fresh steamed vegetables all cooked to perfection & served with consummate attention & care. Two bottles of Rioja & numerous other delightful beverages were slaughtered wholesale in the name of Comerarderie.
Mine hosts... Peter & Margaret dined with us all evening & we roared to polite (but occasionally uncontrollable !) banter & humour all evening till the very late hours.
In the morning I exhibited a fragile nature, due to the previous excesses, but the generous breakfast of smoked Looe Haddock topped with two soft-poached Cornish eggs, served with unlimited toast & coffee, brought me back to the best of health & happiness in short order.
So there`s next time & I cant wait !!!!!, F.

Room Tip: Just go there & stay there, experience the sublime pleasure of the Good Life without any hassle or great expense. F.

This hotel is just wonderful. We spent 3 very happy days there. It is warm, comfortable, friendly and the food is excellent. It is perfectly located and utterly charming. We went out hiking every day and we highly recommend this hotel and it's restaurant.

Lovely little friendly hotel, full of character in a wonderful location close to the harbour and backing onto the river. Staff were wonderful, breakfast was amazing and the room was very comfortable. Really enjoyed our stay. Can I mention the staff again? Really friendly and dedicated - they're walking from Lands End back to Boscastle for charity and we wish them luck!

This is a very nice hotel to stay in. The breakfast is excellent, (the locals go there) fully inclusive and has a vegetarian option. My room was clean and cleaned daily along with the on-suite and the heating works!
I ate in the restaurant and the food was first class and reasonably priced.
The manager and staff are very friendly and accommodating.
No complaints and will definitely stay again when in Boscastle.

Stayed for one night whilst visiting Boscastle and Tintagel to do a bit of walking. The hotel is well situated, but my single room was very small - not much room for anything other than the bed, and I was expecting something slightly more spacious for the price that I paid, especially considering that it was out of season. Got woken up very early in the morning by kids running up and down the corridors and knocking on my door and a dog barking, which seemed to be in one of the rooms down the hall. Not a lot that the hotel could have done about it, but it didn't help the experience. If I come back to stay in Boscastle I'll probably give the Wellington a try.
