We stayed at the Riverside for four nights during our recent stay in England. The staff were very welcoming and helpfull in fact you felt like one of the family. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. Everything you can imagine was on the menu for breakfast and served to your table. For the evening meal it is essential to book as it is a very popular restaurant in the area, for good reason, the food is delicious. There is loads to do in and around Boscastle, hard to think that this beautiful village was flooded a few years back.

I couldn't fault The Riverside. The rooms were immaculate and we were given room 15 which had the best view over the harbour. The river running alongside the hotel was really relaxing. The food was faultless and the staff were eager to ensure our stay was perfect, it's hard to find somewhere where every member of staff is as equally helpful and attentive. Will definitely be returning.

We recently stayed a night at The Riverside while walking the SW Coast Path. We had a lovely large luxurious room, a fine dinner and a hearty breakfast to set us on our way. Everything was perfect. Many thanks.

I stayed at the Riverside as part of a motorcycle group from Middlesex which was around 20 people. The hotel staff looked after us extremely well and were very helpful in recommending things to see in the local area. We stayed for 2 nights and when we originally booked it was only for the evening meal for Saturday. The intention was to of find another local restaurant on the Sunday evening. The food was excellent, of great quality and nicely cooked so we unanimously decided to book the Sunday night as well. That was equally as good and of great value, there were no complaints and believe me if you know my fussy lot of mates that is a great compliment.
Breakfast was equally impressive with the usual cereals and juices, but the main part of the breakfast was cooked to order and served quickly to the table along with fresh toast. There was every combination from full English to locally caught fish and delicious kippers along with an endless supply of tea and coffee.

The room was well appointed with a view onto the river. I thought it was going to be noisy but I slept well, better than at home even! The bathroom was nicely equipped but I would have preferred a shower rather than a bath after coming in from a hot days riding.

Altogether a very nice comfortable hotel with a very nice owner and his son who made our stay just the perfect weekend away.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the front if you don't like the sound of running water from the stream.

My husband and I stayed here for one night on route to a holiday cottage we have book for a midweek break and can highly recommend.

It is a lovely old building and the rooms are spacious and clean, they are a little old fashioned for my taste, but that is my personal opinion.

Boscastle is very busy by day so it was quite strange walking back out to the car in the evening and there was hardly anybody around! We ate in the restaurant and the food was absolutely beautiful, I couldn't fault it and definitely worth a visit even if you are just in Boscastle for the day!

Parking is in the main car park in Boscastle and we couldn't get in to start with which was quite frustrating and we were right at the far end so we just move the car closer o the hotel in the evening.

We received a very friendly welcome and given a beautiful clean room, it is well worth its 5 stars.
The breakfast was excellent with a good choice of food available and the service again was very good.
We consider the stay to be outstanding value for money and would recommend the hotel to others.

We will return .

Having stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions I can certainly give it the highest recommendation. The accommodation is first class, the staff are welcoming and most helpful. The restaurant is excellent, with a first class choice of dishes using local produce and locally caught fish. You will not find a better place from which to enjoy your stay in Boscastle and explore the North Cornish coast.

Room Tip: The rooms overlooking the harbour have wonderful views.
