“A most excellent farm shop”
Reviewed July 9, 2013

I can't recommend this farm shop and cafe highly enough.

Really friendly staff and owners. Lovely coastal views. Fabulous cafe food and drinks - the Cornish breakfast is a firm favourite - try the egg and ham pie - delicious!!!

Well worth the 2 minute drive out of the village to stock up on supplies, and a quick cream tea too!!

We moved to the village just a couple of months ago and this is our favourite place for breakfast, lunch or tea.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review. We are pleased you enjoyed your visit and we also agree it is worth the two minute drive out of the village to visit. It is also well worth the stunning walk from the village along the coast path, if you ar feeling energetic! That's a great way to work up an appetite !
Best wishes, Nikki collings

“So good that I went back the next day”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

I am typing this from a cottage I have rented in Boscastle, in which there is a visitors' book that features regular praise for the wholesome, fresh and tasty food dished up in the café at Boscastle Farm Shop. I went straight there for lunch based on the recommendations and am damned glad I didn't hang about - the food is great, the staff are a very friendly bunch and the view from the garden at the rear of the shop, over the bay, is entrancingly beautiful. The portions are pretty substantial and the ingredients are all sourced locally, including from Tregida smokehouse. The cakes are wonderful too....

The shop itself does not sell fresh vegetables, but does sell a wide variety of fresh meat, plus charcuterie, smoked fish, beers, wines, chocolates and made-in-store pre-prepared meals available to take away.

If you are a local, you'll probably be well aware of the shop and café. If you are a tourist like me, make an effort to go. You'll enjoy the experience and you'll be supporting a noble cause: British agriculture.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review our Farm shop and cafe. We are really please the visitors book in your holiday cottage recommended us. Word of mouth is such a great advertiser! We have only been open since march, so it is lovely that people are getting to know we are here. One thing I must point out is we do sell fresh veg. If it is in season and cornish we sell it!

“Our new addiction”
Reviewed July 5, 2013

We first visited at Easter and were blown away by the stunning views, lovely atmosphere and friendly welcome in the cafe. I think we'd come here anyway just for the scenery but the best bit is that the food is fantastic - oh so fresh and tasty and good portion sizes make it great value. We visit whenever we are in Boscastle now, my husband loves the Fisherman's and I have powerful cravings for the Ruby Red and Cornish blue cheese burger...don't even get us started on the delicious coffee and apple pie and clotted cream. If you visit try their beautiful lamb from the butchers section too. We now end up buying most of our food here too now instead of going to the supermarket because of the quality of the fresh produce they sell in their shop. can't wait to come back in September.

“First Class”
Reviewed July 1, 2013

What a lovely place! A lovely setting for a shop and cafe with stunning views and a free car park to boot. The staff were warm and friendly, the food was delicious, made on the premises and a generous portion too. Great value for money and nothing was too much trouble.
The shop was well stocked with local produce and the ruby cattle make wonderful steaks, sausages, burgers (contrary to a previous reviewer!) and is also very lean. The ham & egg pie & the quice were to die for! Fresh farm eggs, local honey, vegetables, jams, beer, wine, lager, chicken, lamb - what more could you ask for? I certainly came away with 2 large bags of provisions to be consumed over the next few weeks - lovely all round! Definitely worth a five star rating. I just wish that there was a farm shop like this near to where I live!
