So this won't tick your box if you're looking for destination dining, or for a really imaginative food experience.
However, I've been in several times for a lunch. Something simple, hot and hassle-free, and that's what I got. They do some well-cooked traditional meals - fry-ups, baguettes, burgers etc - but also some fresh produce. Their mussels are particularly good. Sometimes you get the impression the lunchtime special is whatever was on the main course the night before, but if it results in decent food that's still fresh and tasty, I'm fine with that.
The service has mostly been good, although it can be a little inconsistent. The place itself is a little cramped and higgledy-piggledy - a bit of a trial for a pram or wheelchair.
All in all, I find the place excellent value for money, swift and cheerful - probably not worth driving all the way to Boscastle for, but as a bite to eat when you're in the area, you can't go far wrong.
