“A great result”
Reviewed October 18, 2012

Stayed at the Ibis for one night ahead of the England vs San Marino game last week. Thought is was great value for money and found the room well equippped and clean. Staff were attentive and helpful.

Also, found a great place to stop off for a drink and dessert on the way to the game. Sugar Mill Desserts, just round the corner from the hotel on Lakeside Way was a brilliant discovery. An amazing selection of stunning desserts, all made fresh on site and served with an extensive wine list. Definately a refreshing change from the normal pre football warm beer in a plastic glass served at an overcrowded bar routine....

Ibis Wembley is a great alternative if you look for a decent accomodation in London and you don't want to pay much. During the "event days" on Wembley prices are obviously very high, as it's located just few steps from the stadium, but on the other days - they're really reasonable. Location generally is fine - close to the metro station from where you can reach town center very fast - as there is an express line. Room - similar to other Ibises, basic but OK, big enough for two people and clean. Staff kind and helpful. Recommended.

Positve points :

* Good location
* Well sized rooms

Negative points:

* Allotted a handicap room whereas none of us were handicap.
* No housekeeping service in the night as the water just would not drain out from the bathroom which made the entire bathroom difficult to use. They refused to give us even the supplies so that we could clean it ourselves. On a lot of insistence they sent a security guard who brought alot of bath towels so that he could get the same cleant.

stayed for 2 nights this week, 2nd night was England v San Marino - and even with 84000+ people leaving the stadium, it only took us 11 mins door to door to return back to this hotel! saves queuing for the tube for hours!

lovely room had a great walk in shower room as the en suite and they'd even managed to accomodate our request and even had a view of the stadium!

staff very friendly and helpful

only downside..on the first night after a day's sightseeing, we fancied a snack in our room so ordered a sandwich from the 24/7 menu...wish i'd bought a packet sandwich from the mini Tesco around the corner on the way home!

Wembley Central tube with Bakerloo Line or Wembley Park for the Metropolitan Line

Room Tip: ask for a view of the stadium - great view

We stayed at the Ibis for 1 night, for the England game. Check-in was fine, no problems. Also got to choose the floor we wanted to stay on.
The room was clean, and big enough. Bed was very comfy - the "new bed" thing is just like a thin mattress on top of the old one. But i found it comfy, quite noisy when moving though. Didn't hear much Road noise etc, & we were on the front.
We had Breakfast, it was £7:50 each. There was lots of choice, cereal, toast, yogurts, fruit & hot food.
Hotel is about a 10/12 min walk from the Wembley tube station. It's the Train station that is over the road.
Overall a good stay again.

The Ibis hotel in Wembley is a pleasant budget hotel with all the necessities a traveller needs. The staff at reception is efficient and friendly. The rooms are quite large for London standards an very clean. The bathroom is basic, but sufficient. The only thing missing was a bottle of shampoo. They have those terrible modern soap dispensers that can be used as shampoo as well. Not my cup ot tea. There is a nice bar downstairs where beers are moderately piced. The Ibis London Wembley is a budget hotel, so it would be foolish to expect four of five star luxury. But the level of service and condition of the rooms, is more than adequate for a stay of a couple of nights. Although Wembley is far from Central London, there is a train station (Wembley Stadium) in front of the hotel and trains will take you to Marylebone in just over ten minutes. And the money you save by staying in this hotel instead of a hotel in the centre will more than cover the price of a daypass for the public transport. I didn't book breakfast, because I like to eat outside hotels among local people. I can certainly recommend the JJ Moon's Wetherspoon pub on Wembley high street, a couple of minutes from the hotel. Breakfast and dinner options are plenty there and prices low. But there a dozens of other small restaurants in the area as well. If you don't mind travelling in and out of the city by train, the Ibis London Wembley is worth a stay when visiting London.

much much further from the tube than the website claims! Grubby room, tiny plasticy bathroom and unpleasant vibe, was glad we only had to spend one night here. Handy for Wembley though if you have an event there.
