“Great place for a drink”

Nice pub/restaurant. The Nachos not so good. Good place to have a drink. The service was almost non existent. Not very tidy and clean.

“The pub options in Wembley are basically ghastly...”
Reviewed December 3, 2012

...so this is the pub we use when attending football matches at Wembley. Fairly typical Wetherspoon - cheap (though has a matchday surcharge policy on drinks); plastic 'glasses' (which I utterly loathe) on matchdays - even, totally ludicrously, on our last visit for the Women's Olympic Final. Whole place packed with families, Americans, Japanese, cheerful Brits full of the Olympic spirit, completely bemused as to why we were being treated like potential hooligans deemed only fit to drink out of plastic.
Also 'typical' Wetherspoon in that it never has enough staff. Who'd think it might get busy when 90,000 are turning up for the stadium? We know from experience to arrive with loads of time to spare, but on this occasion they excelled even themselves, with a 1 hour 20 minute wait for the food ordered - and that only after chasing it up three separate times.
The atmosphere is good however. Used it numerous times ahead of both club matches and Internationals, and never a hint of trouble, just affable banter and fans enjoying following their teams.

“Typical Wetherspoons...”
Reviewed December 3, 2012

Sticky tables, sticky floors, it's all part of the Wetherspoons' experience. This one isnt too bad, they messed up a bit as we were in a group of 9 and the three food orders that were placed 10 minutes before everyone else came 15 minutes after everyone else, but the food was ample quality and quantity for a cheap eat before the show @ Wembley. Bit emabarrassing for them to make us wait so long when we'd made a point that we were in a rush but in the end it wasn't the end of the world. Wetherspoons actually seem to do quite well for veggies - both the Veggie Chilli and Burgers were pretty good, you wouldn't really expect it... Plenty of staff though. I wasn't really looking forward to this meal but wasn't too bad at all!
