“Very nice B&B”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 28, 2007

Over the course of a 2-week vacation, we stayed at 3 B&B's. The Carriage Corner B&B was a very nice surprise. I must admit that when we drove in I was a little disappointed that it was not a historic old home or large farmhouse, as this is Amish country. But, I must say that I was won over. Our room was very nice, large and clean with a good private bath. Gordon was very helpful and we appreciated his kindness. He takes the time to talk with you about what you are interested in, something you don't always get with innkeepers. The breakfast is wonderful and so big. You won't need lunch after eating at Gordon's table. We enjoyed meeting the other house guests, a mother and daughter from Ohio, one couple from the Netherlands and one couple from Israel. We stay in B&B's all the time when traveling.
We would stay here again whenever in the area.

This was our second time at this B&B - speaks for itself. Gordon (and Gwen) provide such amazing hospitality, quality of accommodation, great breakfasts, fantastic knowldege of the locality and the local Amish and Mennonite communities. And excellent value. Strongly recommended. Easy to get to (even for a foreigner) - the directions were perfect. Great locality, even in early May (we actually arrived late April) - loads to do. Breakfast is taken family-style, and every day we had some fascinating conversations with other folk stying at the B&B - and rarely had to find much lunch as the breakfasts were so good.

I stayed at Carriage Corner with my mother for only one night. By the moment that we arrived and saw the room and met the owner Gordon, we knew it would be great experience to stay.

Our room was charming, very clean, and cozy. Gordon is extremely helpful and even gave us a drive to the restaurant because we didn't have a car. He showed us around and brought us to the best picture spot. Breakfast was great. Too bad that we couldn't finish because it is too big. But everything was very tasty.

We left our bags until we left and when we came back to pick the bags up, we found that there are postcards with card from Gordon on our bags.

This was our first B&B experience so I don't know about the average but this was really enjoyable and memoreable stay. Great place for great price! We loved it.

The Carriage Corner Bed & Breakfast surpassed even our grandest hopes. My wife and I spent three nights and would gladly have stayed longer if our calendar would have permitted. Gordon, the B&B owner, was both gracious and a terrific cook. Our breakfast each morning was unbelievably delicious. If you left the breakfast table still hungry, you only had yourself to blame. The accomodations were excellent. Our room, the Lemon Room, was spacious as well as warm and inviting. The entire facility was immaculately kept. The location of this B&B in relation to the Amish community was superb. Intercourse is fairly centrally located. During our visit, we were able to venture over to Strasburg for a ride on the railroad and drive along many of the secondary roads between Route 30 and Route 23 which wind around beautiful Amish and Mennonite farms. Also a short distance away from the B&B is the quaint town of Lititz, where you will find the Sturgis Pretzel House and Wilber Chocolates.

If you are ever in need of a vacation getaway from the hustle and bustle of modern life, do consider a trip to Intercourse, Pa. From the gazebo outside of the Carriage Corner, you can transform yourself back to a simpler time when horse drawn buggies were the primary means of transportation. Carriage Corner is a very appropriate name for this B&B. If you are ever in this part of the country, don't pass by the opportunity to stay at this property. My wife and I hope to stay here again in the not too distant future.

This was the friendliest guest house we have stayed in. We were there for over a week and all the guests in that time were exceptionally pleasant.
Gordon the owner serves a wide variety of home cooked very filling breakfasts and keeps the rooms in pristine condition.
His knowledge of the area was very helpful and the dinner he organised at an Amish family was an incredible experience.
No hesitation in returning again.
