Just came back from visiting Lancaster with friends of mine. When visiting we always stop at Kitchen Kettle village. This is a wonderful place to visit and experience when visiting Amish country. One of our favorite stops is the Jams and Relish kitchen store. You can taste test all there items and believe me once you start you cant stop! There stuff is amazing! You want to buy everything! Theres another store in the village that carries all different types of cheeses and meats. Thats also an amazing place to taste test. The other stores are wonderful to look in. Some are a little pricey, but others are quite reasonable I thought. Oh and dont forget to stop off at Pappy's Kettle corn. Its fresh and hot! So amazingly good! They also have homemade potatoe chips. I would definately recommend visiting Kitchen Kettle Village when touring Lancaster. Its alot of fun! We never miss it when we visit Lancaster!

We visit Kitchen Kettle Village a couple times each year. We love the fudge kitchen. We have had fudge from many places and theirs is the best. It is also neat to see how they make it on their marble tables. We love the jam/jelly kitchen which has expanded to sauces, salsa, etc. over the years. They let you sample most of their products so you know you like them before you buy them. They also have great recipes available. We also love the gift shop which has many personalized products and great items from Amish Country.

This is a great stop in the Amish country. It offers a little village with shops lining the streets that are filled with gift shops, pottery, and snacks to purchase.

We highly recommend purchasing some kettle corn - it is the best popcorn you will ever eat!!! Also, be sure to stop in the Jam and Relish Kitchen. It is a large store that is filled with homemade jams and relishes. There are free samples of jams, dips, chips, and salsas throughout the store. The Pepper Lane Fudge and Sweets also offers some free samples and great fudge. You can watch them make fudge too (but we missed seeing it). Also, Smokehouse Shop offers free samples of cheeses and pretzels throughout the store.

This is really quaint and a wonderful experience. We will surely be back to visit to purchase more from the canning kitchen - and to also buy lots of kettle corn.

My husband and I just got back from the Kling House Restaurant.

It is convenient for tourists visiting Kitchen Kettle Village, but, it isn't worth the $$. For example, I agree with a previous reviewer who said that their mashed potatoes were "tasteless." And, also about her comment about dessert; namely, that people who got their lemon dessert were disappointed.

We ordered two desserts--the lemon dessert was sickly sweet. And, then, we got the coconut custard dessert . And, there wasn't much taste to it. I have to wonder if anyone tastes these desserts on a regular basis.

Also, if you go to the Kling House hungry, it could probably cost you a small fortune. Portion sizes were very small.

dont go waist your money at the Kitchen Kettle Restaurant if you have a baby w/stroller. Staff as well as patrons are so rude. They would not even move to let a baby in a stroller go by. Food ain't that great, better to buy a frozen pot pie for $2 than that at the restaurant. Yeh the ambience is cool, fireplace and all, if you get that room...seem to be for the upety only...Intercourse however is a good place to visit. I was glad I went and the roadside motel was excellent.
