“Lots of people and relish”
Reviewed January 10, 2013

Many bus loads of people buying jars of jelly and pickles leaves a lot to be desired while trying to enjoy the Amish quiet life. The products are good but you can buy them in a lot of other less congested areas. I would recommend you do so.

“Shopping village”
Reviewed January 5, 2013

It's is really just a collection of stores, restaurants, etc. sort of like peddlers village. It's very cute and very clean and there are some playground activities for kids, but be sure to bring your wallet. We love to pick up jams and cookies from the canning company, delicious.

This is just such a charming place! Love watching the women work in the Jam store. The little shops offer such unique items!

“Kitchen Cafe left me underwhelmed”
Reviewed January 2, 2013

Great place to stop by and catch a buggy tour of the surrounding Amish farms and farmland, conducted by one of the local Amish. Our guide was excellent and really made our stopover worthwhile. But other than that, it is a bit of a tourist honeypot -- and not especially authentic in feel. Our lunch in the Kitchen Cafe we could just as easily have found on the New Jersey Turnpike. Not great for a family with teenagers, and expect a wait for a buggy ride.

“Very interesting.”

Great stop to make in Amish country. Especially like the Kitchen Kettle Jams & Relishes. You can taste everything before buying and they have recipes available to enhance your purchases.
