“Elvis was in the building”
Reviewed December 1, 2012

We visited with family who live locally on a night when they had an Elvis tribute act. 'Elvis' was great and whilst we ate a Frank Sinatra impersonator sung. The evening was great fun - the waiting staff seemed to be enjoying themselves as much as the customers - which added to my pleasure. A fixed price menu was available for £20 a head, which is what we chose, and we found the food plentiful and tasty. We'd definitely go to the 'Elvis' night again, and I'd give it a go on a normal night too.

“Much better than Jolly's!”
Reviewed November 24, 2012

Twickenham and the surrounding areas are flooded with Indian restaurants, which is good in one respect - choice, but bad in others - the restaurants are often flaky on quality. Jolly's is a good example of this - once the defacto choice in this area, but well beaten now by The Spice of India.

There is a good menu with lots of choice. The service is good and £45 for 2 mains, 2 rice, 2 naans, 1 side and 4 pints seems pretty well priced to me too.

If you happen to be in Whitton, then give this a try. That being said, there are more than 100 Indian restaurants in a 5 mile radius and so don't travel too far to come here. Also, unless you are visiting on a Rugby day, then you shouldn't need to book either.

“Nice Food”
Reviewed September 18, 2012

Indian food in west London appears to becoming more plain. It's fresh, and tasty, but no spice. A Buhna or similer dish used to be enough to order a sensible dish but I fear that we will now have to order what used to be considered very hot dishes just to get our spice fix however this will mean chilli...

“Good local indian restaurant”
Reviewed September 16, 2012 via mobile

We've been going here for years now. It is a good quality local restaurant ideal for a mid week treat. Not quite as good as jolly's but pretty darn good! Highly recommended.
