“Not up to standard”
Reviewed May 17, 2013 via mobile

Pricey internet and took 10 minutes to connect due to an authentication issue. Minibar in room bur not really, since it was empty.
Breakfast buffet a bit untidy and had to ask for several items.
Poor attention from bar staff.
Not impressive considering spent over 200 pounds.

First class stay here! Friendly and helpful staff, excellent location, very comfy room
Breakfast superb!
Twelve yr old thought it was cool! So it must have been good
Easy access to tube and trains, parking great, once we'd found it.
Coming again next month!

Room Tip: The higher level rooms have superb views across to Richmond

Hotel built into stadium so ideal stopover if coming to an England game. It is expensive and tough to book for match days, but if you have ever experienced the hassle of leaving Twickenham by any means of transport after a match, the extra is worth it.

The hotel is very well appointed and has a great sports bar on ground floor with massive screens. Also you can grab a prematch lunch easy enough, even on match days.

Rooms are large and overall a great hotel, made even better by close location to ground. Prices of drinks and food do go up on match days, on one visit I have ordinary price list intstead of match day that showed uplift in prices, but not surprising bearing in mind the volume of traffic in hotel.

What is amazing about this hotel is how they shift from ordinary trade to matchday crowds - the flow of customers for match days is massive and staff cope with this extremely efficiently.

stayed here for 2 nights for a quiet weekend break with my boyfriend.. hotel room was a bit of a long walk from the elevator lobby but i didn't mind it so much because of the comfortable large double bed waiting for me, i love the bed and plenty of pillows for a good night sleep :)
the shower room was clean and with modern fixtures.. but the floor was flooded after taking a shower. the restaurant didn't have an impressive menu so we opted to take the short walk to twickenham high street for dinner on our first night, but nothing can ruin this experience because my boyfriend proposed with an amazing diamond ring before we head out for dinner!! the following morning, we took advantage of the free gym access at Virgin Active right next to the hotel and it was well equipped, greatly enjoyed the jacuzzi and steam room after a hard training. it was a bit disappointing that the restaurant didn't have a wide choices of food because i wanted to surprise my boyfriend with a romantic dinner for our first anniversary celebration instead we had a take away for dinner on our second night lol!
over all, the hotel is very good with friendly staff and to top it all..i got engaged in this Marriott hotel!

We stayed here for 2 nights over the Army and Navy weekend, the room was a large double and was comfortable and quiet, the shower grout was very grubby and put me off using it. We ate in the residents bar on the 2nd floor, the food was good but the waitress spilled sauce over my husbands trousers and suede shoes. They did run with cloths to wipe up the mess but we had to take it further by asking for the duty manager to sort it out properly. The waitress did eventually return and apologise but the initial response from the bar staff was not good enough. The duty manager Gregory sorted it out and got the trousers cleaned he was efficient and polite. The main restaurant staff especially the petite blonde manageress at breakfast was helpful friendly and very professional.I would suggest that the residents bar staff get more training in how to manage spilling food over customers by giving immediate service recovery, so that customers do not have to request a duty manager.

Room Tip: We had a room on the 4th floor, facing the main road it was quiet with great views over the town.

First ever visited to Twickenham at the weekend for the Army vs Navy Babcock trophy and we decided to eat at the hotel while awaiting other party members, Very clean with polite staff.

We opted for the special burger from the menu in the bar area as the restaurant was not open to non residents. The food was great however the drinks are extortionate £5.90 for pint of Guinness is a blatant Rip off, Average Lager was £5.60 a pint... We decided to have just the one then move onto the hospitality area.

After the game we wanted to go back and have another bite to eat while we awaited for the crowds to disperse the bouncers on the door were very abrupt and they were only allowing access to residents only. I told the doorman that one of friends was severely disabled (triple amputee, war veteran) The bouncer told me nicely to go away as I have already been told that we were not allowed in.

Thankfully the case worker assigned to my cousin who is injured was with us and she negotiated with the manager to let us in so that he could take the weight off his prosthetic legs while we waited for the crowds to disperse from the ground, thankfully the hotel manager could see the situation we were in and he allowed us into the bar area on the ground floor.

It was a harsh way to be treated especially when we had already eaten at the hotel restaurant and and we were intending to do so again after the game. The attitude of the door staff put us off and we left as soon as it was safe to do so..

Room Tip: Food is great, over priced but you expect that so close to the ground and be sure to take a seat whe...

We stayed here for Sarries vs Toulon. Despite the result we had a great time. You need to accept that on match days it will be busy, but otherwise rooms are decent, prices are expensive London and service was exceptional
