The newly refurbished cafe has a lovely feel - a lot more logical and professional. We had the full breakfast - good quality, modest helpings, not inexpensive - but we'll be back!

I hope it works for the operators as they've put a lot of effort (& cash?) into this venture

It will be interesting to see how the menu, food quality and prices pan out over time. Currently the food feels "home-made" using high quality ingredients.

Tend to disagree with some of the recent negative reviews of this place.

Visited recently with my 2.5 year old neice for a coffee and a snack - thought the display of cakes was quite lovely and I enjoyed a really tasty bakewell tart (half of which I was forced to share with madam!). Coffee was good too.

Quite like the new airy layout of this place - they've done a good job of creating more seating and the cafe is a lovely place to visit while in Bushy Park.

I haven't tried any of the main menu although some of the things coming out of the kitchen looked tasty.

There's always the option to take a picnic if you don't fancy the cafe!

This is a great place to go while you are in Bushy Park. The food is OK ish with the usual sort of National Trust property type café food..croissants at breakfast, .scones at tea, plenty of tables .But the setting is lovely just by the Woodland Garden and many children playing. Plenty of Car Parking too.Super stop for tea on a Sunday summer afternoon.

Well the Pheasantry café has re-opended after being closed for quite a few months. Now we were regulars before. So had enjoyed lunch and coffee etc on a regular basis. But we were so very disappointed on our recent visit. The menu itself is extremely limited. Very over priced. Incredibly small portions. But most of all the standard of food is not what it use to be. I had ordered a vegetarian flat bread. This was just like a child's pizza. Extremely tasteless and very small. Our hot chocolates were barely warm.

On the tables there were feedback forms. We did fill one out and send it off.

We won't be eating here again. It is a real shame. As the café is set in such a wonderful location.

We also decided to see what the newly refurbished Pheasantry Cafe had to offer when it reopened recently. Like the previous reviewer, we found the food a little disappointing. Four of us ate different items from the blackboard menu - jacket potatoes, salads, and a 'pizza' type dish described in overblown and inaccurate terms all a little overpriced in our view - but the coffee, cakes and sundries were good, and the staff very committed to and interested in improving the menu. The best of this Cafe is its location and accessibility to all - including the inevitable yummy mummies and their (or someone else's) offspring, disabled people, including wheelchair users, groups who walk, ladies who lunch, and locals just having a break. The updated inside space is light, airy and inviting and my review refers the reader to the excellent description of Beachyboy59 in their visit last year (10th Nov 12). I think this is just waiting for someone to get the food right - then it will be absolutely perfect and worthy of visitors from far and near. Watch this space, we intend to revisit next month for a fuller report.
