I enjoy taking friends to The Lion. Prices are good and there is plenty of seating in the bar, garden and restaurant. I appreciate the welcoming of dogs in the bar and garden. That is GREAT.
The lunch menu is very reasonable, but could do with more frequent changes to avoid boredom for regulars like me.
There seems to be a problem with some of the serving staff, however, with the notable exception of cheerful Emma. For the last half a dozen times, some of the staff look at one as if they would rather you were somewhere else. They look GLUM.
