I have stayed here on two occasions, once at the end of a road holiday in the UK(May 2012) and again before a cruise from Southampton with some friends(Nov 2012). Both experiences were perfect and I can't imagine staying at a chain hotel at LHR with this wonderful B&B right there. Alan, the owner, not only makes you feel really at home but also provides transfers to or from the airport. The rooms are lovely and the beds comfortable. Breakfast is terrific and fresh. The eggs come from the egg machines (chickens) on premises! There are a couple of really good pubs with good and reasonably priced food within an easy walk. Alan will advise on which are the best. On the second stay Alan even drove our party to the port in Southampton for a very reasonable price. Although my past stays there were for post or pre flight reasons, I intend to make Heathrow Cottages in Stanwell a planned visit on our next holiday in the UK.

Recommended to us by a friend, Heathrow Cottages met or exceeded all our expectations. One of our priorities was being near Heathrow Airport because we were flying into London and out again within a few days. Not only is this b & b near the airport, it provides shuttle service to and from there (the first is free; the second costs 15 pounds). Our room was comfortable with an excellent bed, couch, and chair. Among the amenities were a flat-screen tv, hair dryer, in-room coffee/tea facilities, cookies, bottled water, and a supply of DVDs. The weather was extremely cold when we were in London, but our room was a comfortable temperature. The living room, available to guests, was well stocked with reading materials and had a charming stone fireplace that had a roaring fire on the cold evenings we were there. Our ensuite (private) bathroom was clean, modern, and all tile. A generous and tasty continental breakfast was provided at no extra cost and at the time of our choosing. The hosts were friendly, welcoming, and service oriented. When we asked about a good place for dinner, they recommended The White Horse, which provided a free shuttle to pick us up and bring us back and had very good food. Our hosts even called the shuttle for us. Two other aspects we enjoyed were the charming appearance of the house, which looks like something from Shakespeare's day (but modernized inside) and the pleasantness of Stanwell Village (a nice place to walk around). We felt that we got a great value for our money. I can't think of anything negative to say about our 3-night stay. If we go back to London, we will definitely stay at Heathrow Cottages again. Lovely place!

We arrived mid afternoon and were shown to our rooms, both the family room & the double we had booked were really excellent, very well furnished with everything you could wish for.We were staying to attend a family wedding nearby & Alan took us to the venue that evening free of charge & arranged for a local taxi to collect us at the end of the evening. The following morning we all had cereal (numerous choices) followed by a full English cooked breakfast, toast & coffee. This was delicious & really set us up for our return journey to Devon. We would not hestitate to return if we needed to in the future.

Stayed here for one night in November for a very early flight to Rome the next day from Terminal 4.
Arrived to a cosy log fire burning in the little reception area wwhich was very welcome.
We had a lovely room on 2 levels. Nice and warm, sofa, TV, video's etc., The upper level was fitted with a really comfy bed and plenty of tea, coffe, biscuits etc.,
The walk in shower room was great although as we were up at 3.0am we didn't get to use it.
We didn't feel like much to eat with an early start but the continental breakfast was ample with, cereals, toast, coffee, juice etc.
We were driven to the airport in just 5 minutes and collected quickly 12 day's later on our return to Heathrow.
Alan handed us our car key's on the way back from the airport and parked right next to our car and also transfered the luggage from his vehicle straight into ours.
Thank you both for good service.
Great service. Thank you

I booked a room via the internet, got a confirmation email and everything seemed fine. Then 2 days later I got a series of emails which essentially cancelled my room. The first said that my reservation was cancelled due to an administrative error. The next falsely said that my credit card had expired. A third simply said the reservation hhad been cancelled.

There are many good hotels near LHR. Stay at the Sheraton for about the same price, and avoid the shoddy service that this place offers.

Stayed here to start our holiday after a late arrival at Heathrow airport - liked it so much went back at the end of the holiday before a mid-day departure.

Very close to the airport - but even when planes flying (not until 6:00am) the noise level was scarcely noticeable

Based on a very old cottage - with some very ancient oak beams + tastefully updated

Beds outstandingly comfortable & ensuite bathrooms very modern (complete with heated floors)

Breakfast enjoyable and complete (I had the poached eggs using eggs from their own free-range chickens)

Me and my partner stayed here for one night before our trip to New York. Room was very very nice, excellent bathroom and very homely and comfortable atmosphere.
Breakfast was excellent, we opted for the full english and we had the choice of many cereals, fruit, yogurts etc on our table aswell.
We checked out and got a free drop off to the airport as we were leaving our car at Heatrow Cottages for 10 days until our return.
During our holiday in NY we were delayed by 3 days coming back due to hurricane sandy. We contacted HC when we landed back and they was very accommodating and came to pick us up at quite short notice.
Our car battery was flat on our return and Alan (the manager i think) was very helpful and gave us a jump start, also, he didnt charge us for the few extra days parking which was a very nice touch.
Overall a lovely place, great location (close to pubs and shops) will definatley stay here again when flying from Heathrow and will be recommending to friends and family.
