“Great for overnight stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012 via mobile

This hotel room is great for overnight lay between connection flights. It is very compact but enough for rest. It is very clean and bed is comfortable and electrically positional. The shower rain head is great! They rooms should be noise proof. You can hear the automatic corridor door all night and the steps of people on the hallway, which is an elevated wood floor. They give you a set of earplugs which is handy but, it has no use, because if you actually wear them, you won't be able to hear the alarm to wake up to get ready to check out and caught the flight. It is a good alternative hotel room if you at least have 6 hours of waiting time between connections.
They offer free tram between the terminals. It will take at least 30 mins each way to get to the hotel and out to your terminal. It will be more convenient if this is located on the international terminal. Our flight arrival was late at night and ALL the restaurants were close. They only have coffee, tea and few drink options.

We booked into Yotel only because we wanted to experience something out of the ordinary and we were flying out of Heathrow the next morning, so it was convenient.
We were very impressed with the layout and engineering of such a tiny space. We had all the room we needed and were perfectly comfortable with enough storage for our luggage under the bed/sofa and a very functional bathroom.
The were two issues that prevented us from giving this an excellent rating:
1- We were constantly being woken up during the night due to our room's proximity to the check-in desk. Even though the hallway has HUGE writing on it reminding people to please be quiet, that particular room was absolutely awful for sleep quality. After all the engineering and thought that went into creating such a unique space, the owners would be well advised to invest in sound proofing those rooms. Not since the days of travelling "ultra budget" have we experienced such poor quality sleep in any hotel we've stayed in. Too bad.
2 - More seriously - several times during the night our room filled with the odour of jet fumes/fuel. Someone needs to look at where the air intake is located because we both got headaches from this.

Room Tip: Ask for a room as far away from the check-in desk as possible if you want to sleep.

Arrived very early in the morning after 20 hrs travelling and not able to book into hotel until the afternoon would have meant hanging around the airport for 10 hours. Checked on the internet and found YOTEL. Hotels near the airport were much more expensive and would have meant another bus or taxi to get to. YOTEL was as it stated. Small but very well planned cabin accommodation. I was traveling with my sister in-law and it was a great place to relax, freshen up and catch our breath before moving onto London city. Staff were very friendly and helpful and best of all there is a great little pub/restaurant right out the front and convenience store and taxi ramp just below. Great location, easy to find, great value, glad I checked this place.

I travel often from the USA to southern Africa via London and whenever I have a few hours between flights I always book a premium room at Yotel -- preferring Yotel over my airline lounge. Great shower and bath products. Clean comfortable bed. Complimentary wifi, cable tv, and now even complimentary latte. All the basics done right.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the end of the hall. Occassionally incoming guests will talk too loudly coming do...

Stayed there for 12hours / one night. Much cheaper than going to a central London hotel on a Saturday night or getting a taxi to central London. Bed was UBER comfortable, had a really good night's sleep. Shower and toiletries provided filled with lavender DO chill you out and the mood lighting fits perfectly. TV services adequate with movies etc. They offer free complimentary drinks and food. I did not try the food but the prices are way reasonable for a 24/7 service. Staff was more than helpful and check in/out was done in 30secs. Also there's free WiFi in the hotel.
The main issue with this service is that it is located in T4. If you arrive on any other terminal expect up to 40mins to reach the hotel. Other than that I would definitely use it again and have already recommended it to other people. All in all, you get more than what you pay and it's ideal for a one night's sleep or just a few hours.

Room Tip: Single rooms are more than adequate for a few hours, no need for a larger and pricier one. Try to ha...

I booked this because we had an early flight the next morning from Terminal 4 and didn't want to use nearby hotels as a) they were more expensive, b) we would have needed to get up even earlier and c) I'm never confident the bus supplied by the hotels or by the airport will arrive on time. I was expecting something like caravan or youth hostel accommodation and was very pleasantly surprised. Although the room was small, it was adequate for our needs and the standard was superb- a very snazzy bed which converts from a sofa at the push of a button and has extremely upmarket bedding, a clean and well designed bathroom and a small table if you decide to have something to eat in your room. I do like privacy in the bathroom and the glass wall plus a curtain was fine. We had no problem in storing our suitcases as the bed is designed to fit luggage underneath.
The only thing to warn you is that Heathrow shuts down fairly early and if you want to eat at one of the restaurants you need to get there before about 9.30 in the evening or bring your own sandwiches.
Free tea and coffee in the morning was an added bonus as were the efficient and friendly members of staff.
We will definitely use the Yotel again.

Yotel does everything it says on the tin. These cabin style rooms are small and compact but really are of a 4 star hotel quality - great and comfy beds, lovely shower and flat screen TV - everything you need for a short stay as you pass through the airport.

Rooms are very quiet and private and include free Wi-Fi. I'd recommend you take a video tour on the hotels website before you come so you know what to expect, but I can't rate this stay highly enough.
