Crompton Guest House

We are British ex-pats living in Laos. We came back to England for Christmas and before flying back, from Heathrow, we wanted a day in London to hit the sales!

I wanted a hotel: Near Heathrow, with a car park (for our hire car), with easy access to London on public transport, that was not a rip off over Christmas. After a bit of searching up popped 'Crompton'. My partner is very spoilt and has stayed in some lovely hotels and I must admit when I told him we were staying in a 'B&B' his heart sank. However this is by far the best B&B I have ever stayed in.

The hotel was very easy to find. On arrival I was a little sad to find about 10 stairs up to the front door. We had four 20kg suitcases and three hand luggage bags!! However as soon as I got to the front door Hemal, the manager, met us and organised help for the luggage. All was good. The level of customer service from Hemal was exceptional.

He explained to my partner where the FREE car park was (yes, free parking in London!) whilst I did the checking in paperwork. Although I had booked a double room for the night Hemal said he would upgrade us to a family room right next to reception to save us from moving all of our bags up the stairs. It was great that he recognised the amount of luggage we had.

The inside of the B&B, and the rooms is amazing. It is like something out of a nice magazine. Big, bold wallpaper (just to my liking) with everything finished to a high standard from lots of nice cushions, to the flat screen TV, to the superb power shower and bathroom fittings.

Hemal explained where everything was as well as local facilities such as cash points, pubs, transport links. nothing was too much trouble.

After a superb nights sleep on our really comfortable bed, in our quiet room, we had breakfast there. Again the dining room has recently been refurbished. We opted for the full English and it was cooked fresh to order to our liking. Yummy.

On checking out we asked Hemal if we could leave our suitcases in his office whilst we went shopping as we did not want to leave them on show in the car. He said no problem.

We caught the tube into London. The nearest station is literally out of the front door, turn right and walk 300 metres. Perfect, and so easy to get into london and back out without taking the car.

We returned later in the day, collected our cases and car, and within 15mins were at heathrow Airport hire car drop off.

Absolutely perfect, made even better by Hemal. We will use this place everytime we return to England to visit family and friends.

Nice place, what we saw in the web is what we finally found, a very special guest house with own personality who helps you to start opening to the cosmopolitan London. We spent 5 days with two childs and grannies an Hemal and his team helped us to feel as at our home.
Rooms are well sized and clean, breakfast will help you to keep on walking the rest of the day, just in time, and everything they can help you, be sure they will do their best.
The hotel is 50 mts away from the Honwslow central underground station and crossing the road you can find some supermarket, any place to eat and a nice pub. Piccadilly Circus is about 35, and Heathrow airport 15.

If we have the chance we will repeat

Four mates travelled up from Cornwall looking for one night accommodation ahead of the Rugby at Twickenham. We booked a family room for the four of us.Plenty of space and very clean and recently refurbished..Twickenham was walkable although close to Bus route and trains. It was a £20 pound taxi ride back from Richmond in the early hours so very reasonable

Breakfast was excellent and again well presented...more toast was not an issue!!Would definitely use again very friendly and welcoming staff.Secure gated parking(free) was a bonus

Room Tip: All rooms being refurbished so away from road probably quieter although traffic noise not an issue j...

This was our second stay here to watch the rugby at twickenham. They are in the process of redecorating and we loved the new look to our room 6. This room is great with two double beds and bunks so more than enough space for three adults. The now gated parking is another plus. Staff are always really friendly and we will definately return to stay on our next trip to twickenham.

Room Tip: Room 6 good value for four friends or a larger family and also has a full size fridge.
