Have been here several times for lunch with colleagues and have found that the service is rather slow, on the last visit we made sure we ordered our food before we actually went so it would be served to us by the time we arrived as on a previous visit it had taken an hour to have our food prepared and brought over and there were no other customers in the pub at that time. Several of the items on the menu were out of stock so several of our group had to change their order.

Saying all that, the food quality is decent and the staff are friendly and polite. They just really need to be more efficient at lunchtimes as there are lots of neighbouring businesses who might choose to go there for lunch if the speed of service was improved.

There's a pleasant beer garden in front if the weather's nice enough.

An old pub, with low ceilings (the beams have been padded!) and a beer garden/patio to the front. Also has a car park, which is a plus, given the proximity to Heathrow Airport.
A reasonable range of beers and drinks - bottles of wine are reasonably priced.
The food is standard 'pub-chain' fare, with special offers on certain days of the week. I have eaten here a couple of times in the past and the food was fine. On this occasion, I had the Sunday roast. Again, given the price (£7.50 for 2 courses), this represents superb value. However, it was let down by the fact that the 'roast potatoes' had been regenerated by the use of a deep fat fryer - not great! I can forgive this because the portions were quite large, but I wouldn't have a roast in there again. There are not many pubs in this location, so this is certainly worth a visit.

I often stay at hotels in London, normally at Jury´s Inn LHR and go every time to the Green Man which is only a 10 min walk from the hotel. Even though I stay in the city I must go at least one time during my stay to Green Man it´s worth the effort. This is a very old and cozy pub dating from the 16th century with excellent food and beverages. Seeing this old house and entering the pub is like getting 400 years back in time in a positive way. During the summer you feel like you are in the countryside colourful flowers with nice garden and atmosphere. Every few minutes you have a 400 tonns airplanes flying over your head, for me it´s a part of the good experience visiting Green Man. You can take your children with you for lunch or dinner and they play in the garden without you worrying about them. I look forward to my next trip to London and the first thing I will do is to take the Piccadilly Line to Hatton Cross Station and take a 5 min. walk to the Green Man and...........fish and chips, beer and a double vodka. IT´S WORTH IT !

As being an airline crew, we sometimes say quite away from central places on our overnights.
In these cases we do always hunt something in walking distance of the hotels.
The Green Man fits in these criteria.
Good Pub with honest food. My favourite is the Steak Pie (something we don’t eat where live).
Good offer of Ales and Lagers.
Enjoyable atmosphere and on the summer with seating in outdoors.
Real nice Pub to go!
