Staff here is a bit rude or does not help much. The rooms look like from 1970-ties and the corridors smell like tobacco so much that you can't believe it's actually a non-smoking area. The restaurant is better and can offer nice food. The hotel is also not convenient if you are travelling to or from T5.

Hilton are exceptional at delivering a consistent level of high standards of hotel, room accommodation, facilities and service and this Hilton is no different. It would be a challenge to find a hotel in this area with such comfortable beds delivering the essential element of sleep prior to an early morning flight. Highest marks, great staff, immaculate rooms (albeit small), everything you want including great location and direct terminal access.

As diamonds Hilton members, unfortunate not to be offered upgrade to executive floor (despite rooms being advertised on website), and shame the check in guy was arrogant and didnt even know what the HHonors club provided, but otherwise treated well with great executive lounge. If to search for a downside, service in the bar was exceptional slow, but who cares, the holiday experience started for us when we checked in at this hotel. Superb, relaxed and uppermost in priorities, a comfortable start to the holiday.

I reviewed this hotel a couple of years ago but was back there yesterday. I was impressed with the bell desk and the breakfast buffet. The bell desk went out of their way to help us store some luggage for a couple of days. The night check-in staff is down right nasty. We arrived at about 9pm and really were just happy that she got us checked in. She snarled a couple of times but was never pleasant. The rooms are tiny and very dated. I never could figure out what color the carpet was supposed to be. We had two towels and one bar of soap. A call to housekeeping went unanswered. What the hotel needs is some management oversight and an updating of the rooms.

staff is polite, nice little pool, nice exec lounge...Its not a bad hotel if you don't mind small rooms (every Hilton in Europe seems to think we like small rooms), expensive restaurants (there are no other options nearby), and terribly inadequate transportation to the airport. Heathrow has five terminals. If you are flying out of Terminal 4, then you are in luck--an easy walk. But if you are flying on American, for instance, which is located in Terminal 3--well, you either walk and train it for thirty or so minutes, or you have to hire a taxi for 20 or 30 pounds (aka, in 2010 thats 30 to 45 dollars) for a 15 minute cab ride. Same for Terminals 1 and 2. Never stayed at an airport hotel without free transport to to the airport. There is a advertised van that goes to Terminal 5 so if you are flying mostly BA you are in luck.

Forced to stay there after flight cancelllation. First: beautifully designed building built as two with glass ends - gives great light. Restaurants are better than expected - buffet in Arami truly tasty (fish).
Rooms themselves are small but well laid out. Keep neat by storing clothes, suitcases in closet. Bathroom small but works, including shower, well.
The key is to spend little time in the room. We spent our time in the Executive Lounge first floor. This is staffed with very helpful smiling individuals and not crowded. Free i'net, nice hors d'ouerves, free wine and harder liquor.
Semi-quiet with only rare loud cellphones.
It isn't the Four Seasons, but it is an extremely comfortable well done property where they try.

Checked in the night before we were to fly back to the USA on Continental (T4). Could only get a queen room, but we did not mind since mom and two kids slept in the queen (no big deal for us) and me on the complimentary rollaway. Kids ate breakfast free in the restaurant (a great value!), check-in was very professional and punctual. Breakfast buffet was very good! Yes, the room a bit small, but we did not mind because it was clean, A/C worked well, and was otherwise comfortable. Here's the best part: As we checked out, the bellman offered to drive our luggage and two of us on the hotel golf cart accross the bridge! My oldest daughter and I walked (fun!) over to T4 as well. Tipped him about 5 GBP because he really took initiative and made it funny for the kids. BTW, thye restaurant staff was excellent. Would go back on our next trip.
