On a busy Saturday evening, 4 of us dined here. The menu is varied with an Italian flavour and lots to choose from. Service is not frenzied and we took two and a half hours to finish our meal. Food was good, hot plates and the wine was excellent and not too expensive. Very busy which reflects well on the standard. Must book or be disappointed.

We have been regular customers of Sambuca over several years, and have always thoroughly enjoyed our visits. The food is fantastic – fresh ingredients, home made, seasonal, and cooked to an exceptional standard. The presentation is always superb, and value is fantastic.

Indeed, we have enjoyed it so much that we decided to host our wedding lunch there in December (2011). As you can imagine, this was a big day for us and we trusted that Marco and his family would be able to deliver to the standards that we had experienced previously.

In fact… they surpassed any expectation we had. The whole day, meal, service – everything – was flawless. Seriously, we would not have changed a thing. Every dish on every course had family and friends raving about how much they enjoyed it.

In addition to the food, we have always enjoyed the ambience – on this day they excelled themselves. Sambuca is a family run restaurant who truly value their customers and go out of their way to provide you with a great experience.

If you enjoy eating in a relaxed, friendly and welcoming environment – enjoying quality food at a very reasonable price – Sambuca cannot be faulted. We are already planning out return and can heartily recommend that you give it a try too.

For the 2nd time we went with 2 other couples for our annual xmas get together. The food is very good and the service is excellent. Price including drinks was £35 per head and for the qualityn of the food this was good value. Free parking outside or just a short walk from the car park

I first went to Sambuca over a decade ago, so long ago I had forgotten until my Mother reminded me. We went again this year on the off chance and because a long time favourite local restaurant had been so poor in the quality of food that I figured a change was needed. With some trepidation we decided on Sambuca, it had obviously been refurbished recently and it looked bright and fresh from the outside. We did all agree that if it was not up to scratch we would write it off and treat ourselves to a meal elsewhere the next day to make up for it.
We were greeted at the door by the owner (it transpired) and shown to the table by his Mother-in-law (if memory serves - I am pretty sure it was his wife's Mother). The scent of cooking when we went in was amazing, soft herby tones and fresh bread with the crackle of cooking coming from an open door to the kitchen. It was a Tuesday night and we had got the last table - however the restaurant at 7.30pm was relatively empty still (guests arrived to fill it up to around 8.30pm - they joyfully only do one sitting).

From the welcome on arrival and throughout the bringing of the amuse bouche (what a great idea) and the freshly baked bread, through the ordering, advising of specials, explanation of some dishes and the final bringing of the amazing homemade Italian food, Sambuca was a revelation.

They are in Eastcote high street, my home but relatively non-descript part of the suburbs. They could be scooped up and put anywhere successfully such is the quality of what they do. Get yourself there for dinner and prepare to be overwhelmed with the warmth, the food and the general experience.
