This is the second time we have been to burlingtons (and reviewed) and they haven't failed to impress! We arrived and was greeted by a very friendly lady. She took our drinks order and gave us our menu's. We took a seat as we made our choices. We stuck to the early bear this time. (good prices) Not long after the lady came over and took our order. She made us feel at ease and relaxed! We were taken through and promptly attended to with our serviettes and bread. This time it was a younger girl who was polite. We had our starters. My partner enjoyed his but I was a teeny bit let down with mine. Not a big moan but the pate on toast was very bland. Understandable it was early bear but some sort of chutney wud of give it bit more taste. That's my only moan! The sorbets as per was a nice touch. Very refreshing and always a nice concoction. It's nice how staff are trained to describe what we are eating. Mains were lovely also. Could we manage a pudding?? Well if you have a sweet tooth like me, you certainly can't say no to that friendly lady. Totally sells them to you with her mouth watering descriptions of the deserts. Think everyone around us was the same as they all seemed to get a desert and enjoy them. My advice... Save room for one! ;) this place is a hidden gem! We try to visit Bridlington once a yr and will definitely show our faces again when we do!

Driving by, looking for somewhere to eat, spotted the Teddy Bears in the window, so pulled over & went to have a look. Popped in & were met with a polite & welcoming lady who after our meal & further conversation was the wife of the owner. Decided to stay & have our meal their & clearly were not disappointed. from start to end everything was perfect. We had decided not too have a desert, but over heard the summary being given to another table & so fell into the fatal trap...they we superb...Everything was very good, attentive & well presented, the complimentary items were well appreciated & the general atmosphere from the other diners all gave cause to a great evening. Old Town Bridlington have a gem & probably do not even know it. Wish it was not 150 miles away from were we live, so we could visit again. Will have to try to swing that one somehow.

My husband and myself plus our cousins Chris and Dave visited Burlington's Restaurant in High Street Bridlington for the last night of our holiday. What a find! From the minute we stepped inside we enjoyed a great evening with wonderful food in a cosy friendly restaurant where nothing was too much trouble. We were greeted warmly by Judy Hall and settled down to lamb rump with roasted vegetables in a tomato and apricot sauce (stunning) a peppered pork loin in a creamy mushroom and brandy sauce (again a winner) and a chicken breast with a hickory smoked bacon, spinach and blue cheese sauce. All the dishes came with beautifully cooked additional veg. and chips or new potatoes. All melt in the mouth stuff - and we had room for their gorgeous puddings. Two of us had the best chocolate torte with raspberries that we have had for a long time, and our group also enjoyed a fabulous mousse and home made ice cream to die for. The prices were very reasonable and Judy delightfully helpful and attentive. The cook is her husband Dave - he is a treasure! We highly recommend this little restaurant which also does special deals for early diners (known as "Early Bears") and has a great range of drinks. And we loved the "Teddy Bear" theme as they are very cute. Don't miss out - book a table now! You won't regret it - our only regret is that we live 240 miles away or we would be going often!

Excellent food and service in general although the service was somewhat quirky almost to the point of OTT.
No-one should be put off by this, just enjoy the food!

We had a couple of early bear meals at the Burlington and were delighted with the menu options, service and most importantly the food.

Great night and reasonable prices - I would heartily recommend to any residents or visitors to the Old Town at Bridlington. Something of an hidden gem.
