“Great trip round Flamborough Head”

We have been on the boat a few times but this was the first time we went on a longer excursion around the head - this trip went to Sylix bay and was about 1.5hours long. it cost £6 for adults and £2.50 for children so a reasonable price. the water was calm the trip very pleasant you couldn't really hear the commentary very well out side (we were sat at the back of the boat) but the views and journey very very nice. the Captain spotted a seal out in the waters so he went a little further out closer to it so we could get a better look. the Yorkshire belle herself is a lovely boat with very friendly staff and a must do trip if visiting Bridlington.

“A mixed bag”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 10, 2013

We were looking forward to hopefully seeing the Puffins, and after about an hour we were fortunate enough to do so, the Children were delighted! At the ticket booth there was a sign saying the trip we were taking would be 1 and a quarter hours long so we bought a 2 hour car parking ticket but after 1.5 hours we started to get worried so went to the bar to ask the chap there who informed us the trip was actually 2 and a quarter hours and they must have forgotten to change the sign, great! The last part of the trip was spent worrying the would be a parking ticket on the windscreen when we got back and not enjoying the trip. There were numerous smokers puffing away outside the whole time and even when we moved indoors to try and escape, the smoke still billowed in because all the doors were open, nice when you have children!
The toilets were basic, the mens having no sink and the ladies, no soap.

“Brilliant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 2, 2013

Last time I went on this boat was over 50 years ago !! It's still going strong and looks very well for it's age. We went up the coast to see the seabirds and were not disappointed and it helped that the weather was glorious. As we were a group of over 80 persons we actually chartered the whole ship and it was worth every penny. The loos were clean and the refreshments very good.
Well done on keeping this veritable veteran in service

“lovely boat trip”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 20, 2013

We took the 90 minute trip to see the puffins and sea-birds. This went out towards Flambrough head, past the lighthouses to the cliffs. The boat staff gave a commentary about what we were passing and a bit of history of the area. When we reached the cliffs, we were told about the various sea-birds, and the commentator also pointed out what species were flying / swimming around the boat - including puffins. It was a lovely trip - an hour and a half of relaxing, enjoying the sun, seeing new species of birds, chatting with other passengers. Absolutely idyllic. I have no hesitation in recommending, and at £6 (£5 concessions) it was far better value than other boats and trips round the bay. Next time I'd love to do the three hour Bempton cliffs.
