Like most b&b's the family live in this home, also with their little dog and young children. The house is an old victorian house and the room we had was big but could do with redecorating, a mixture of woodchip and lining paper and wallpaper peeling off the ceiling, nice red and white colour scheme though.
It was REALLY clean, nce bedding and towels and I could see effort had been made to make it homely and welcoming with homemade curatins, cushions and headboard covers and chocs on the bed. Tea and coffee were in jars, coffee was rock hard tho, didn't use! The beds were comfortable and the hosts very friendly and welcoming.
Breakfast was ok, but if you want fruit you have to mention the night before. My breakfast was nice, but cold on arrival but my boyfriends was hot!
Payment was requested on arrival for a 1 night stay. Paid £52.20 and I would not really want to pay anymore than that. You are given a parking permit to park on the street, there were spaces so it was ok.
Close to the beach. The area is a little run down but we had a nice time exploring English seaside culture, though it is faded Victorian glamour. The Whetherspoons pub had great food and customer service, 2 great meals for £6.49. Even though it may seem a little rough around the edges everyone we encountered was really nice.
