“Nice place to stay!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 31, 2012

Stayed here for 2 nights 29-31 Aug. Mum, daughter and 17 month old grandson. Guest house in good location from all amenities, shops and beach. Accommodation very clean. Stayed in small family room at back of house on second floor. Cot was provided fee of charge along with sheets. Breakfast was nice. More choice of fruits would have been welcome. Gina and David were very welcoming and were very approachable for information on best places to go. Only downside was the British weather. Rained both days.

We had a lovely weeks holiday at the Blantyre, along with our little dog, and we were all made to feel very welcome by Gina and David.
The rooms are spotlessly cleaned everyday, fresh towels when we wanted and tea and coffee always replenished.
Breakfast was excellent, all extremely high quality produce, including locally made sausages, and the service was really efficient, but also very friendly.
The fact that they welcome dogs is a bonus, as a guest house of this quality that accepts dogs is very hard to find.
Would highly recommend this as a warm and friendly place to stay, would most defiitely stay there again.

I was booked in here for three nights in July. Requested to pay on arrival. Disappointed to be offered a tiny single bedroom with outlook to a brick wall. Discovered later that it in fact used to be a bathroom as gas water heater still in situ and working for nearby bedrooms. Sharing a toilet was not the best choice as far as cleanliness goes and the shared bathroom shower very small with plastic doors making it a rather uncomfortable experience.
The breakfast was a little on the lean side compared to other stays.
I discussed my concerns with hosts the next day and they reassured me the gas heater had all the certificated checks but as I was still uneasy about it decided to leave. I was able to get reimbursement for one night which was fair. If you are a single traveller, check out the numerous b and bs in the area to see suitable room size and value for money.

Room Tip: If making an email enquiry or phone call ask about size of the room if you are a single person. Many...

Just back from nine wonderful nights at The Blantyre, Bridlington. The beach was right on the doorstep. You wouldn't have got any better in a large hotel and you would've been charged a lot more. The welcome, Gina and David gave us was superb. The room was absolutely spotless with regular fresh towels and a great shower. The room also had a hairdryer, plenty of tea and coffee and not to mention the yummy biscuits. The breakfast was delicious, you wouldn't go hungry, that's for sure! There also was plenty of hot toast, yes I repeat... HOT TOAST! It's a rare thing in most hotels. My husband and I don't really drink but the bar was well stocked with beverages. Gina and David are really down to earth and always happy to help. They put all their time and effort into their guests and they are very child friendly. If I was to find a fault, I'd be sitting here all day and wouldn't come up with anything. The Blantyre is spotless clean, child friendly, welcoming, great value and superb breakfast. Couldn't ask for anything better. Will definitely be back next year!! :D

Thank you Gina and David for the best holiday ever!

Gina and David are a lovely couple, they are approachable, friendly and very down to earth with a wonderful sense of humour! They go out of their way to help you and are very knowledgeable about Bridlington and will offer you advice on places of interest for you to visit! The b&b itself is a warm comfortable, environment
and you are made to feel at home. It is spotless and cleaned to a very high standard, there are always clean towels, daily hovering of rooms, tea and coffee supplies are refreshed on a daily basis and bed linen is clean and fresh. David cooks a mean breakfast and Gina always ensures you are fully catered for! We have stayed here twice now and it has been a pleasurable experience so much so we have booked again for a week next year! The standards are very high, its a fantastic place to stay and Gina and David are wonderful people to share your holiday with. You will not be disappointed! Tracey and Andrew 2012.

Had a lovely weekend staying at Blantyre Guest House. David and Gina do everything they can to ensure you have a lovely stay including doing an early breakfast for the golfer. Bedroom with sea view was lovely, everywhere very clean and well decorated. Alovely stay, thank you.

Room Tip: Ask for the sea view room, it's lovely. Rooms at the back have noisy seagulls according to the f...
