“seasonal ticket holders”

We have been visiting Sewerby Hall for over 34 years but having moved to the coast nearly three years ago decided to get a yearly pass and it is really good that we can go visit when we want . It cost twenty six pounds for two which is good value for money. The cafe in the grounds do super lunches and fantastic cakes really worth a visit . There is construction work going on this year to improve facilities but I would still recommend it .

“A gem, away from the maddening crowd”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 12, 2013

Sewerby Hall & Gardens has it all (well it did until the bar closed) There's a small zoo, kids play area, a bit of history and some wonderful gardens. Music in the Orangery, a pitch n putt to the north, cricket pitch to the south - walk along the cliff top down to Brid and the harbour; there's a road train back...
One thing you MUST do is take a picture of your kids either with the stone lions or under the rose arches that surround the goldfish pond in the walled garden - and watch them grow as you come back again and again!
Have a walk in to Sewerby and sample what could be the best fish & chips on the East coast. Believe me I know fish & chips, I come from Scarborough - the only rival to Sewerby is Whitby

“Piglets & Penguins”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 10, 2013

We fancied a relaxing Saturday afternoon so took a drive to an overcast Bridlington to visit Sewerby Hall, we were hungry when we got there so visited the very pleasent tearooms having a coffee & hot chocolate with a panini and jacket potato, simple food but good quality & tasty. The animals were the absolute highlight of this trip from the naughty penguins & kune kune pigs to the huge rabbits it was lovely to see them all looking so well and comfortable in their surroundings & staff were on hand to answer any questions visitors had. The grounds were so peaceful and they were lovely to walk around even when it started raining. It is an ideal place to visit it you have small children or are just looking for some tranquil surroundings to visit.

“Nothing Special”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 5, 2013

My wife and I walked from Bridlington, and were looking forward to visiting the tearooms, although clean the quality was very poor we were served hot drinks from a machine and a piece of cake which was nor the freshest all for £7.50. This put us off paying to see the zoo, as we just wanted to go for a drink elswhere.
