This is a small little chalet which is very clean and with no faults so good value for what you are paying. There isn't really any space inside so if you're planning on sending time in the chalet it might be worth paying more for something bigger but if you need a comfortable place to sleep and get ready for the day this is perfect. The site itself looks likes it is under some development (some shops closed, park and tennis court closed etc.) but the location is great, right on the beach, 5 minutes drive into Bridlington. Be wary that there is only a thin wall separating you from the adjoining chalet which wasn't an issue at all the first two nights but on the last night a couple with a child and a dog moved in so we had a barking dog for a couple of hours until the family arrived home at about 11.30 then music and loud talking, arguing, child
crying until 1am. It wasn't ridiculous but because it feels like you're in the same room it will affect your sleep.
Me and my 11 year old son have just returned from a one night stay at Pippins Retreat. The chalet is beautiful, tastefully decorated and well equipped. Julie and Phil, the owners, have gone above and beyond in providing the little extras such as tea, coffee, washing up liquid, shower gel etc etc. I feel that we have found a real gem here and will mostly certainly be booking again.
Super-clean, stylish and cosy chalet. Everything that you could possibly need is provided. Julie is excellent to deal with. Make a booking - you'll enjoy!
Just returned from a two night stay at Pippins Retreat. Lovely modern, spotlessly clean chalet close to a dog friendly beach and in the perfect location within easy walking distance of bridlington. Julie was very helpful before and during our stay and allowed us to take all our 4 dogs which I really appreciate as it can sometimes be very difficult finding someone who will accomodate that number of dogs. I hope to return and would highly recommend.
