Work related stay. Would stay for leisure too. Fantastic service in the restaurant. Great menu food is cooked and served to excellent standard. Given a complimentary bottle of wine when food took more than half an hour to arrive one evening but we had been so busy talking we hadnt really noticed. We were very impressed needless to say. Wish I'd remembered swimwear as Spa was used by colleague and recommended. Only issue was the not so user friendly pathways and steps for wheeled baggage. Needs a ramp or two here and there. Room and ensuite clean and comfortable.

Our son's (and new daughter in law's) wedding reception was superbly managed by the team at the Conference Centre. All the staff were thoroughly professional, the meal for 100 people was fabulous, and the Mistress of Ceremonies not only conducted the afternoon and evening with the upmost professionalism, but was engaging, thoughtful and passionate. Thank you for making it a truly memorable and magical day.

We would highly recommend Tankersley Manor for a wedding reception. Excellent value, great location, why go anywhere else?

Room Tip: For wedding reception choose any of the rooms in the Conference Centre area

We stayed here to break a north-south journey and felt it worked out well. The hotel was full with a wedding and other parties going on but the staff were still helpful and efficient and we had an enjoyable meal in the restaurant. Our room was quiet and comfortable and the breakfast was vey good - we went on our way refreshed and would definitely stay here again.

We did the Spa Deal over night stay with a 1 hour treatment, light lunch and 3 course evening meal included. There were 2 weddings on the night we stayed so a nice relaxing drink in the bar was out of the question. The gym is very small but okay because there weren't many people using it. The Spa reception could have been more relaxing and the staff appeared very serious and didn't smile that much. We could hear everything that was going on outside the treatment room, so you couldn't switch off and relax during the treatment. The loud ticking of the clock was annoying too. We have given it 3 stars as the hotel is really nice and the food was good. If you are looking for a really good spa treatment then this might not be for you as the spa and treatment was quite basic. The massage was a light rub, but when you are paying £99 for the whole deal you can't complain really. We enjoyed our stay regardless of the imperfections.

We attended a wedding staying two nights. The venue was excellent, the service and food also, only complaint being the bathroom. There was no non-slip mat for the bath or handles to assist. My wife slipped causing damage to her knee and has needed physiotherapy and will require an arthroscopy when we get home to Australia. The staff were not really qualified to assist. It kind of spoilt things for my wife because of pain and difficulty in walking, but overall a nice place and we would stay again.

Dear Guest

Thank you for your comments where I was very concerned to read that your wife hurt her knee when staying with us. After talking to both Reception and the Duty Manager, I believe your wife made a request for a sports massage at the hotel as her knee was not feeling alright, but no mention was made of a slip and possible damage to the knee. Whilst we do not have mats in the bathrooms, we do have non slip baths and advertise in all rooms that mats are available at reception if required.

I do wish your wife a speedy recovery.

Regards

Hayleigh
