“Tired and Run Down”
Reviewed September 11, 2012

The place is in dire need of a referb. The place has seen many better days.
Staff are OK but no more except for a couple who are workers. Food avarage so long as microwave meals are your thing.
Never have sliced lime for your bottle of larger!

“Poor Quality”
Reviewed July 20, 2012

The food was unfortunately presented in a way which looked like it was pre heated and / or processed and microwaved. It did not taste good either.

“Cheap, something and chips menu, pub needs a refurb. More young children than adults gives McDonalds after school feel.”
Reviewed March 12, 2012

Very, very cheap - plenty of meals under £5. This is along the lines of pie, chips, peas or a small rump steak with same. A bottle of Echo Falls wine comes in under £8.
It seems mean to criticise a mixed grill at just £9 and a decent glass of wine for £4:50 however. Tiny piece of steak, chicken and gammon. Soggy chips, nasty onion ring and peas.
You get what you pay for and no more.

“Decent pub meals at reasonable prices”
Reviewed February 1, 2012

The Norman is a 60/70's single storey pub and isn't very attractive from the outside.
Good parking facilities .
I think that its part of the Marstons chain now but surprisingly doesn't sell real ales any more - no demand apparently!
Familiar pub chain menu with deals on certain days and times of day such as golden years specials.
Atmosphere is lacking in my view. Its not particularly cosy.
Service is good and staff friendly.
Mixed customer base. A few regular drinkers at the bar but mostly what I call a kiddy/mealy pub. Popular with families.
Food portions are good and reasonably presented.
Typical pub grub really. You know what you will get for your money.
