The gardens are extensive and interesting to explore. The folly at the top is impressive and there are some stunning views over the surrounding, surprisingly attractive, countryside. However, our overall impression was that the gardens need much more care and attention to realise their full potential.

Large gardens to walk round make sure you have suitable shoes as bigger than you think, there is a charge for this. also you can walk around the grounds and only have to pay for the car park to do this. there is a cafe and childs play area at the garden entrance

Beautiful sunny day and we found Wentworth castle

Admission exremely reasonable for our outings with grandchildren - under 3's free and £5.50 per adult

excellent cafe - serves lovely food, the grounds are beautiful and we enjoyed the long walk up to the castle at the top of the hill
We took a picnic and enjoyed that in the sunshine.
Looking forward to seeing the restored conservatory - looks like a mammoth task !

Kids enjoyed the Treasure hunt - even at the age of 2, we skipped a few clues as little legs were tired but we found the treasur in the end

Will definately return

After being put off in the past by the daily price I ventured behind the walls to discover an exciting maze of activities and stunning gardens for my children...

My son particularly loves the folly and insists on climbing to the top to look out every time we visit. When we use our annual pass with friends the children are never bored with the secret gardens, mazes, balconies, trees wildlife and stunning play park facilities.

We've been up several times to different planned events such as pirate day, the viewing of Brave, a medieval battle with gunfire and horses. I could go on !!!

The cafe is small but sells the most delicious food dishes. A beef sandwich is not just a beef sandwich it's marinaded in beautiful spices and seasoned bread. Yum yum. They even have a baby food microwave. Great!

Highly recommended especially on a yearly pass.

Booked tickets through an on line deal... The gardens are beautiful and ideal for a nice walk and picnic around the castle ruin. Luckily we had nice sunny weather. Well worth a visit.
