I recently stayed here due to family illness requiring me to be on hand. I was made to feel very welcome, my single room turned out to be a double with a lovely bathroom. And the breakfast was excellent in every respect, hot plate with hot food, and perfect poached eggs.

I would certainly stay here again.

Room Tip: If you need a quiet room, ask for one, as there is a bar which can be noisy at times.

My wife and I stayed overnight prior to a flight from Manchester Airport, the following morning. We found that the hotel staff were extremely helpful, and permitted us to leave our car at the Wycliffe while we were away. Making this a very attractive alternative to the more expensive and impersonal airport hotels.
We found the whole hotel was immaculately clean and our accommodation was of a high standard.
Furthermore the food was a much higher quality than the usual hotel fayre, and presented with style.

Room Tip: We asked for a nice room, and received one.

A very welcoming hotel, with friendly staff, good quality rooms.

Room Tip: I personally found the pillows very firm would have been happier with a softer version, which would...

I stayed here for one night while away on business and found it to be very good indeed. It is a small family-run hotel with a cosy traditional English style. The customer service was friendly and helpful and the bedroom had everything required. What really stood out was the food which was excellent both at dinner and breakfast. Having stayed at a lot of hotels recently, the food here was clearly the best in terms of quality and style, a lot more interesting than you will find in the big chain hotels.

We continue to stay here when we visit the UK. I cannot recall any establishment which has better, more friendly service. The staff are professional and genuinely seem to care. The restaurant is very good and punches well above its weight. The rooms are very clean but the double beds are a little small and quite hard. However this is still an excellent hotel and better to stay here than a chain.
