I have lived in Vancouver Canada for 13 years now and one of my "must visit" places when back in the old country is Ashton's. A chippy with a long history in the local community and fantastic fish and chips - long may it continue.

This is my local fish and chip shop and I go quite regularly. You know the food is good when the queue it outside the door, which is a bit of a pain at times. The man who runs the shop is friendly and the food is tasty and not too expensive. It's a tiny shop with very little standing room, there's a small dining room at the rear, which really needs modernising but it's fine for a quick bite to eat. The food speaks for itself really (not literally!) and it IS good. I don't really ever think of going anywhere else!
