First things first, stick this in to your sat nav SK6 1AS.

There is a council car park to the side of the restaurant and this free to use.

I was the only one dining at the time so cannot comment on the atmosphere, but i am sure that witha few more diners this joint will rock. I was dining at 7 ish on a wet and windy Wednesday Night.

There is plenty of to choose from on the menu to suit all pallets, and meal prices include rice or chips. I also noted that there was no hard up selling of poppadoms, nan bread and other delights that you feel compelled to purchase but never eat, but of you do attempt it you feel like c**p.

Service was professional and swift, with the right amount of attention.

I can recommend the Chicken and Mushroom Byriani, very nice indeed. Cost for a starter, main and one pint of lager £15.30

On leaving the restaurant the adjacent church was ringing its bells, it was worth standing listening to them and soaking up the fast approaching Autumn chill in the air, and dreaming of Santa which will not be too long in arriving.

I have been going to this curry house for years.
Never had a bad meal there and service is always excellent.
The only downside is it always seems empty these days
On the whole excellent otherwise

Wherever I travel in the UK (and sometimes abroad), I always try to find a good Indian Restaurant. They are invariably good, but I always compare them to my absolute favourite - The Pride of Bengal in Bredbury. The Simla and Pepsilla specials are delicious, and even though there are many Indian restaurants nearer where I live, I still regularly drive the 10 miles each way to visit Sam and Ishmael. It is always (as they say in Bengal) Koob Moja - very tasty!

Excellent curry house, we keep on going back and have never had a bad meal here. Staff are lovely, always friendly and helpful. Excellent food, it tastes like decent home cooking rather than full of sugar and stodgy like a lot of places. Best dishes are murubba and pepsilla and give Sammy's special rice a try too. Little bit more expensive but like the other review said you get what you pay for. We always come here for birthday meals or sometimes just as a couple. Give it a try you won't be disappointed.
