Dear Gillian S, we are really sorry about the poor experience you had at our Bury Travelodge. We have received your email concerning your experience at the hotel and this is currently being investigated and we will contact you directly.
Absolute perfect hotel for the price paid, just a bog standard Travelodge really nothing special. Isn't one of these new modernised Travelodge but was clean and comfortable everything you need.
For people who don't know the building is next to the M66 and a 24 hour ASDA - the traffic is noticeable but not to bad.
A good budget hotel with the most comfortable beds. You do have to pay for parking which is always a niggle for me. However, even with this the room prices are really competitive.
There is a restaurant close by but we never use it. There is an Asda over the road and we always go for the mega breakfast there - so no need to order a breakfast bag.
We have used this Travelodge twice now and each time have been met with friendly helpful staff. As we have family in the area it is convenient and we will continue to book in there on future trips north!
Stayed for one night while taking daughter to Manchester University.
Hotel recently refurbished and redecorated. Very clean. Staff team efficient and friendly.
Booked twin occupancy room, which is a double bedded room with a sofa bed. Arrived very late Sunday night. Room made up; spotlessly clean; ready for us both to crash out.
En suite very functional (basin + bath with shower and curtain + loo.) and clean. Soap provided but no shower gel or bath stuff - all as expected as this is explained on the website.
Beakfast boxes are available, but the hotel is located in a retail/business park with McDs next door and other chain restaurants all in immediate vicinity.
It's one junction up the M66 from the M60, convenient for motorists. Short drive into Bury brings you to the Metrolink tram into central Manchester - 30 mins to Piccadilly; £3.90 single, £4.10 return. Why bother with a central Manchester hotel when this was £34 a night?
Stayed for two nights and it was clean, comfortable and quiet. Highly recommended! Could not hear other guests at night at all which ensured a relaxing and peacefull nights sleep. Cleaners did not start too early either which ensured a relaxing long lie in. Highly recommended!
We have used this Travelodge several times in the past and have always found it a useful place for trips to Bury Market, and Manchester with its wonderful tram system (Metrolink). This time was even better as the rooms had been refurbished with a comfy bed (4 pillows!) and a fresh clean feel. Reception/ check-in was easy, pleasant and very friendly. We were given a quiet room overlooking the car park, We requested a room fan as the temperatures were in the high 20's and this was provided with no problem.
Car parking charges are £3 for 24 hours at this Travelodge, and it cost us £5 to park all day in Bury Centre.
Asda is close by for breakfast etc. Also Macdonalds, Pizza Hut, Frankie & Benny's and Fare'N Square pub (next door).
We will certainly be visiting again.
