Description: Here at Toby Carvery Ainsworth, we believe there's only one way to do our beloved British roast - and that's properly. Every spud is checked by hand and ruffled for extra crunch. All of our meat is slow-cooked and basted to succulent perfection. And our Yorkshires are freshly made in our kitchens and served crisp, fluffy and piping-hot to your plate. That's what makes us the home of the roast. When it comes to roast dinners, we really know our stuff. Every day our chefs lay on a feast of tender, hand-carved meats with all the trimmings - including towering Yorkshire puds, golden roasties with all those lovely little crunchy bits, and plenty of freshly prepared veg, all crowned with proper gravy. So it's no wonder we're Manchester's favourite carvery restaurant. Drop by and you'll find lots more on offer, including our tasty cooked breakfasts and sensational sundaes. The carvery is only £4.95 per person and is excellent value for money, there was Gammon, beef and turkey, which is served with yorkshire pudding, sausage and stuffing and loads of veg to choose from. The food was well cooked. They also have a good choice of desserts. The staff are very friendly and helpful. If you don't want the carvery they also have a good selection on the menu.

Visited with my friend son and nephew, boys chose the kids meal deal which was any children's meal. Drink and pudding for £4.95. They chose the carvery. I had a carvery meat was lovely you could have a mixture of all three meats on offer or just one. Served with a Yorkie. Sausage and stuffing. Then an abundance of veg. 2 dif gravies. All sauces too. My friend had macaroni cheese served with garlic bread and salad. We all had a drink and coffees and bill was £30.
Staff couldn't do enough.
Clean.
Friendly.
A defo place I would visit again.

Service was good, didnt have to wait to long, we all had the carvery, the meat was really nice and tender, but the yorkshires weren't the best. Good range of desserts on menu and specials board, good family atmosphere, pretty decent pub grub :)

We tried to get a meal at the Toby Carvery in Bolton on Friday night - although it was dead quiet we were told that there would be a 25 minute wait! Quick exit - we found the Ainsworth Arms and it looked really nice from the outside. Large car park and we were very impressed with the decor when we went in. It's nice a bright, clean and modern. We were asked to go to reception for a table and were very quickly shown to our table by a friendly waitress.
We had the carvery and what a treat! Really tasty meat - we both had the beef and it was sublime. The roasties were fab -and the veg were fresh and tasty. It all looked and tasted home made - not the shipped in, reconstituted stuff that you're normally served in a carvery.
At just less than a fiver each you can't beat the value either but you don't feel like you're compromising either and we were treated like we were paying much more!
Definitely one to try and we will be regulars here as although we didn't browse the menu, we reckon that whatever is served here will be great.
