This was a brilliant hotel to celebrate my birthday in!
our rooms where of a brilliant size and the leisure facilities where really good and very acccessible!
there was local pubs and eating houses just acrosss the car park which served very good food. thats if you didnt want to eat in the restaurant or bar in the hotel.

Room Tip: none of the rooms had nice views really.

Nothing too outstanding, the room was spacious enough (family room) bathroom was cleanish apart from the ladies hair in the bath, which did make my tummy turn a bit.
It was full to the rafters with what seemed to be "local" people, there was a wedding and we saw lots of tipsy ladies on a hen party, doing what tipsy ladies do on a hen "do"
Price wise it was very cheap £75 for two inc b&b, so we got what we expected for the price
The staff were pleasant
If you want a cheap hotel with access to bury or manchester, then this could be for you, if on the other hand your looking for luxury I'd look elsewhere.
cheap, cheerful, OK

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the 2nd floor away from the noise

Everything absolutely spot on. Great value. Comfy bed. black out blind. very clean facilities. Will stay again and at other village sites if possible. defintely better than premier inn. Too many a screaming little children in the leisure facilities was my only problem, so if you want a relaxing leisure club you will be disappointed.

I was part of a hen party and was supposed to stay here this weekend. On arrival I was told there was a computer glitch and they couldn't find our booking. I arrived early, like others in the group, so we could us the facilities but instead we were told to sit in the lounge area until they had resolved the problem - 3 hours waiting. In the end the hotel had to move us to another hotel because they had doubled booked. (even though we had rang days before to confirm our booking??) They told us it was 10 minutes away, in fact it was more like 25 minutes. They also told us it was the same brand hotel, which it wasn't. They provided us with mini buses so that we could come back to the themed night we were booked in. Then things got bad to worse. When we got the our other hotel there was problems checking due to payment issue. The Village hadn't paid them. Finally, checked in and we had less then 45 minutes to get changed. Everything was a rush to get ready, some of use didn't have time to wash etc. By the time we got back to the village hotel we were told that we had missed the first course of our meal. This was because of the length of the journey from the other hotel and the taxi driver that didn't show on time. Both our hens were devastated to say the least (This is the only hen party they'll have/experience).The whole group are absolutely shocked and disgusted what has happened. The evening should have been a happy memorable night for all. Never will I be staying here again.

We attended a wedding in this hotel and paid for a room that was not over the 'club' area. We were happy to get accommodation where the wedding reception was and booked in for two nights. To be honest the first night was a Friday and we were very tired, there was a lot of people out the front at 1am and the girls were screaming. We had a nice breakfast, a good variety, but were surrounded by hen's, stag and football supporters who all looked hungover. The rooms were very modern, comfy beds, a few cobwebs in the window blinds. The bath towels were not clean, previous peoples makeup and fake tan on two. Maybe an upgrade of towels would be good. The wedding was really good, thank goodness the reception area was at the back of the hotel. However, we had to share toilets with the pub. Not good.
I would recommend this hotel for young people, hens, stags, etc. Not for families or people looking a quiet getaway. Maybe it attracts these groups due to the hotel prices and nightclub. We didnt use the pool/gym.

Room Tip: We paid extra to get a room away from the nightclub. It must have been better than over it. I would...

Just returned from a one night stay. Paid for an Upperdeck room and was located on first floor. Beware. Saturday nights are party nights and the sound is deafening. Not a place for a relaxing nights sleep. The music goes on until 1am. Offered 1/2 a refund the next day but still not worth it. Breakfast was nothing to write home about either.

After two and half hours journey from York as road work and accident on the M62 finally arrived, the first thing we saw "wow" from the outside, and once we got in, it was brilliant and we didnt know there were swimming pool/spa, if we knew, we would have brought swimming suit!!,then we had the meal in the evening but it was late and it was a good value. We would go again. The room was nice and we got a good view to the river so it feel more relaxed, the reason why we booked this is nearer to the party at Rambottom.
